Great company to deal with. I love my new windows. Completely changed the look of my house! Noticed right away how quiet my home is now after getting these triple pane windows installed. The installers were awesome. They took their time and were clean. I watched them put in a couple of windows. They put foam insulation all around the window to seal it up! The price was extremely competitive. They weren't my lowest bid but almost. I haven't gotten my questar rebate yet (I sent it in a couple of weeks ago). I couldn't be happier and will refer them to anyone that wants new windows.

Yeah....

Window Depot Utah…
Ill just tell the story and let you decide...

John came out one day and gave his sales pitch... Good quality window, slides nice and easy...blah blah blah. Said it would take 6 weeks to get the window once ordered... no worries... Ordered window a few days later and the wait begins… 6 weeks later I call the office to get an update... Receptionist had to go look for our order and found the window wasn't in yet but should be in "Monday"... Call was place on a Tuesday... Time slip another week... Called Monday, window still not in... Called Tuesday same thing... Called wed window showed up but can’t get an installer for 2 weeks... So 9 weeks from order date we finally start the install... Installer shows up, takes a look and immediately has an issue... HE DOESNT HAVE A LADDER!! How do you show up without the tools you need??? WTF? I have a ladder and he used it the heck out of it… along with some of my other tools... How do you show up to a job and not be prepared?? 4 hours later and a ton of sawzall cutting, grinding and grunting/groaning and the window is sitting in the frame crooked AF.
Breakdown of the current issues 2 weeks after install (which isn't done yet)
1/8 - 1/4 gap all the way around partially sealed (can you say drafty??)
Crooked install... No corners are even with any of the others
3 big cuts in the siding from the sawzall
Broken pieces of siding
dust and debris in the kitchen
dust and debris outside
Window is mostly level...
Just found out the installer usually does new construction...AND PRIMARILY INSULATION!!! Why would you send a guy to do a job that doesn't know what he is doing??
Currently at about 14+ weeks… 2 wind storms, 1 snow storm and 15-30 degree temps since order date and its still not done. I keep seeing dollar bills fly out the gaps in the frame… They are sending out a different guy to finish it up so hopefully he knows what he is doing and will be done.
New installer showed up with the wrong color siding to repair where the original guy hacked it up… Couldn’t weather seal the outside of my window or install j channels or trim… Now he has to come back yet again…
Called John and expressed my displeasure with the amount of time this is taking... He promised me the job will get done…Contractors famous last words… Push it back yet another week.
They finally came back after 2 more weeks and finished the job. Contractor showed up with his own ladder this time and finished up the trim and what not. They did however, forget to bring expansion foam so luckily I had a can of Great Stuff sitting around that they messily put around the frame to fill the gaps.

Product quality seems good… ability to get my window installed and FINISHED… HORRIBLE!!! 16 weeks total.

This is exactly why I do most my repairs myself… Cant trust anyone to get the job done right or in a timely fashion these days…I may not be the fastest or the best but I do know that I will get it done…

I found this company in that magazine Home Town Values. I got 5 bids and learned what I think was quite alot about windows. They weren't the lowest price but far from the highest. My windows are awesome and were installed very good as far as I could tell. I could tell the difference immediately. I was told it would take a full day to have them installed. It took a week longer to get them from the manufacturer so it was six weeks instead of the five that I was told. Plus one of the crew was sick the day of the install so it went into the next day. At least they didn't rush through just to get them all done quickly. Took me about 6 weeks to get my rebates from Questar and Rocky Mtn Power but it was worth the wait. I received close to $700 between them! (I love my new TV I got! :) Even though it took a little longer it's still worth five stars in my book! If any of my friends ask me I'll definitely recommend this company.

Stay away from this company! Poor service and quality. They also failed to pay a subcontractor, and in turn, a lien was put on our home.

This contractor is not a participant in Rocky Mountain Power's home energy savings program, so you cannot get the rebate Rocky Mountain Power offers. Their communication is poor at best! Didnt arrive on time to the job, didnt finish the job in one day, they lost the paper work I dont know how many times. Not to mention I had to call their office staff every few days for 2 weeks before I was finally mailed a copy. I have several friends who have used them and had a good experience and thats why I chose them over other companies that were less expensive. My mistake! For 5 months I have been wasting my time trying to get the right paper work and signatures from them to get my rebate, just to be denied and spend several hundered dollars more then I thought I would, not to mention all the time I have spent on this. Beyond annoyed! This is not the same company they used to be, apparently.

Triple Pane is great....Customer service and wait times, horrible!

The windows are great, once they are finally installed. They are noise reducers and definitely look much better than our builder grade windows. The salesperson was very informative and brought a display and convinced me that I wanted the best. After the first day though, I could not get a hold of anyone and it took 6 weeks before I called the office and lo and behold the windows appeared. It took another week to get installers out there and oh, by the way, it takes longer for windows that have grids. After 8-10 weeks, I called again on the remaining grid windows and guess what?...sure enough, they just arrived and it took another 2 weeks for those to be installed. The installers are nice enough, but when they set a time, for us between 0900 and 1000, they were several hours late for no reason and caused us to miss 2 days of work. Very unhappy with the customer care although it was not Penny's fault. She answers the phones. Salesman and installers would prevent me from purchasing again or recommending them. Additionally, they offered a 1.2% discount if you paid by cash or check; basically saving them the credit card charge that is passed to the customer. As I mentioned, I had 2 installs; several without grids and a couple with grids. They failed to give me the discount when I paid for the majority of windows, but did make a note to reduce the bill acccordingly on the next trip. Wait for it....they reduced it by 1.2% for the remaining balance which was only for the 2 windows and not the entire purchase. Buyers beware!

Triple pane windows are AMAZING!!

I've had other "replacement" windows in other homes. These are the real deal! Quite and VERY energy efficient! Couldnt be happier.

I am very happy with all of my...

I am very happy with all of my new windows. I was worried how well they would be installed but they did a really good job. They didn't leave a mess behind either which I really appreciated. This is the first review I've done online but my sister said she saw a couple of bad reviews so I thought I would share my experience. She got new windows too and is happy I told her about this.

Great Company

I've had other work done on my home and these guys are the best. I had 18 windows and a door installed. They were the best windows I saw and were installed great. The representative that came to my home was very informative without twisting my arm. Questar gave me $2.50 a square foot, just like he said! My sister used them after she saw my windows and is very pleased also.

Can't please everyone!

Complaints come from the very few issues/communications we experience. The overwhelming number of happy customers seldom write reviews but we do appreciate all of the terrific positive feedback. Zac assures me he would NEVER say an anderson or pella storm doors he installs are cheaply made! As I stated to them, they got exactly what they ordered with standard hardware (as stated on the contract). The door cost us more than stated. With install cost and enough profit to stay in business (imagine that) the cost is reasonable. Some companies will charge a good deal more! Another complained it took too long to get her windows installed. We usually are able to install about 4 week after our installer gets exact measurements for custom manufacturing. Very rarely there are delays and we do try to communicate. Obviously by the review it was not quick enough, and yes, we could have done better. Great windows, quality install and awesome prices and warranty. We have so few negative reviews, especially having installed many thousands of windows as well as patio/sun rooms, siding and doors.

Terrible Customer Service

Once the smooth talking salesman gets your check, you have to CONSTANTLY stay on them to get your windows. I called at least 4 times for a status. The installer (Zack) did a pretty good job, with the exception of breaking a few window sill tiles. One of the windows was cracked when I received it, so they had to re-order it...again...I had to call them for the status. That took an additional 3 weeks. Their customer service is TERRIBLE...they don't follow up and don't call to see if you are happy with the windows.

ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!!

Window Depot did a PERFECT intstall of my new windows!! My neighbor went with a different window company than Window Depot, and is still trying to get their windows (that were more expensive) to look half as good as my custom windows from Window Depot!! Craftsmanship was splendid. My entire neighborhood knows what window company they should, and should not do business with! THANK YOU WINDOW DEPOT!

Terrible customer service

They never return phone calls. I've called them dozens of times even Tim's cell phone and never get a return call from him or anyone esle in the office. Had windows and a front door installed and am very dissatisfied. Payed $475 for a front door that sells for $188 at Lowes and after one day the handle has fallen off and the screen dosen't latch. The installer even told us he didn't wont to install this cheap door at our house but that is what window depot gave him. Tim was suppose to come by and see the door but it's been two weeks now and no communication.

Could have been easily fixed!

Don't go with them! Before they installed my windows I asked them if the alder that I cased around my windows would get scratch and they assured me that it wouldn't but, sure enough three of my windows that we just barely cased in alder and stained were scratched really bad. I called and told them that their installer's damaged the casing and they said they would come out and look at it but, they never came out!! I kept calling and they basically kept ignoring me. I would have been a happy customer if they would have just fixed what they had damaged!!!

Great windows, lousy installation

We had a great salesman with Window Depot and we really like their windows, however, I wouldn't use them again because of the sloppy installation. We have had to have the installer come out on several occasions to redo his work. To compound the issue it has taken four phone calls to Window Depot to get him out here to fix one more thing and we still haven't got the problem resolved. Good windows don't make up for poor installation. Wouldn't recommend them.

A good experience.

Our salesman was very nice and knowledgable of the windows. He wasn't pushy and explained everythings. The installers were professional and friendly and did a very thorough job. Will recommend to others. Our windows are very quiet!

I love my wndows!

Our salesman was not pushy and he took care of our needs. He didn't try to talk us into things we didn't want. That was a big selling point for me. Our windows were installed in one day. They were friendly and professional and did a great job. We noticed a sound difference right away. Our new windows look very nice.

Great Company!

Salesman was friendly, informative, patient and thorough. He walked up and down the street with us and tryly informed us as to the quality of the windows. Thanks! The install was awesome. Over the years I have worked with many contractors on my own homes and duplexes. I have been extremely impressed with this crew. There was no smoking, loud music or any negative things. My neighbors are also impressed. I will be setting up appointments for at least 2 of them! I love my windows!JenniferOrem, UT
