They start out looking after your loved one great. Then care services start dropping. They quit weighing them, (this is important to high risk cardiac patients) and it gets longer and longer before they respond to the call light (even with patients that only use it once or twice per day). They stop changing sheets daily.They do not follow wound care instructions if the doctor prescribes expensive treatments or special wraps. They use what they have in their budget. They only have 2 wound care nurses and if both are off on the same day (one calls in sick) then wounds do not get tended. I have not seen anyone abusive, and if I ever do I will relocate him immediately. The nurses seem to be nice enough, they do call and leave messages regarding changes of meds or labs. I do not like the shower twice a week for patients that need help. I think he needs better hygiene. Rooms are fairly clean and cleaned daily, but things keep breaking, such as TV and toilets don't flush. Maintenance is not good at all.
