We have moved two times, both times using another moving company that left me somewhat disappointed our second go around.



My colleagues recommended this place. Several have used mia movers over the years, so when we needed a company to do an in house move, this was the first name on my list. Yes- we did an in house move. We needed to rearrange the layout of three bedrooms and an office area in a duplex apartment.

I cannot say enough how wonderful the packers were and the driver. Our belongings were packed, shipped, and received within 6 days. Everything arrived in great condition and nothing was missing. Very helpful. I would highly recommend this moving company.

So... I have moved so many times. You have to know the process or else you will feel slighted. Most moving companies will charge you more if you are not properly prepared or if you didn't list all of the info on the inventory list. (Except for the local mom and pop shops) I had a Great experience with them. I just had them move me yesterday. I'm glad I didn't see these reviews beforehand because then I probably wouldn't have used them. Scott Kiley was the person I spoke with there that helped me schedule everything. He was super professional, very attentive, fair and he really made sure I was aware of all costs and potential fees. For example, he advised me to make sure my tv was in a box, my mirrors were covered with cardboard, etc, otherwise, they can do it but it costs additional for packaging and supplies. He also reviewed my item list with me to make sure I had thought of everything so there were no surprises. The special only covers 3 men, a truck and them moving your stuff. If they have to box anything up, cover glass tables, mirrors, tvs, mattresses, etc... you have to pay extra for that. You have to pay for the boxes, the tape, the shrink wrap, etc.... and its not at discount prices either. The reason you paid more is because you didn't have your stuff packed up properly and ready to go before they got there. You didn't really think they were gonna do all that for $240, did you? Preparation is key. The three men that came called ahead, showed up 15 min early and were extremely professional. I couldn't believe how efficient they were and I knew ahead it would cost more to have them wrap anything, but I let them wrap my expensive white leather couches... Cost me about $15 each, which is pricey, but it was well worth it. I also let them wrap my glass table and glass tops in the entertainment center. I just didn't feel like doing it myself ahead of time. Less hassle for me and they did an excellent job. They were done with my 2 bdrm apartment in 2.5 hrs, but I had an estimate for 5 hrs, so it ended up being much less than what we estimated. I used the extra money to give them a good tip. I give myself credit for that too. I was extremely prepared. Everything was packed up properly in plastic bins. I had plastic mattress covers on my mattresses, I had my tvs in tv boxes, etc. To sum this all up, I was very pleased and very happy and I told my boyfriend... I'm going to write a review for them on Yelp. I was actually surprised to see the bad ratings and bad reviews. Some of the reviewers just sound like inexperienced people who have not used a professional moving service before. I have moved many times from DC to LA to Virgina to Tampa to Atlanta and now within Miami..... and I will tell you, these guys are great. I'm thankful and a happy client!

When I needed to hire movers in Miami to transport our office to another location on the other side of the city, MIA MOVERS was the best choice to do the job. They were local, had references, and also offered a low rate. They arrived early on Saturday so we would not face any down time. Everything went smoothly.

When my wife and I bought our condo in Miami Beach, we needed to hire Mia movers to go from Hollywood to the new place. Buying our beach home pretty much used up our budget so we were very glad to find ProMovers. They gave us a great price and delivered as promised. The move went smoothly without a single issue. They were very professional and careful.

This is the worst company imaginable. They made the move a horrible experience. My furniture was damaged and the company won't return my calls to pay me back for the so called insurance I paid for in the price. They are a bunch of scam artists from top down and don't deserve to be making money at the detriment of hard working honest individuals. The cheaper price is not worth it. Avoid them at all costs!!! Anything positive about them you see out there is most likely from their company trying to make themselves look good and boost morale.

They were extremely friendly and professional and made sure our belongings arrived undamaged. They actually completed the move in less time than originally estimated

Very pleasant to deal! I pleased to see that all my furniture and boxes arrived and a great condition. Mia movers were very pleasant to deal with thought-out this stressful process and I am happy that I had such a nice people helping me to go through this transaction

First, I would rate as zero stars but it is not an option.

I used MIA movers for a 2 mile local move earlier this year. First they showed up an hour late. Then they proceeded to tell me that they could not move certain items (i.e. bookshelves) if they were not wrapped by them which ended up costing me about $150 more. Then, one of the movers was on the phone half the time with issues pertaining to a side business while the other guy moved with me. They make you pay in full before they unload the truck. I decided not to tip them because they were taking way too long and I was paying by the hour (took them 8 hours to move a one bedroom apartment 2 miles down the road). When they realized I hadn't tipped they started to harass me and yell in front of other residents. At that point I felt obligated to tip so they would finish the job but then they complained the tip wasn't enough. In the end I ended up paying $550 more than the original estimate. Additionally, they broke a leg on my desk, leg on my dresser, a lamp, damaged an armoire a dresser and trunk, and left deep scratches in the hardwood floor of the original apartment from dragging my entertainment center (which I was charged by the apartment company $550 to repair). I spoke with the company many times about my issues and was told they will have their claims department call me to issue a refund. However, they never called. Now they won't even answer my phone calls. Please do not use them. I don't want them to take advantage of any one else.
