I began creating visual artwork on a daily basis shortly after the death of my four year old son, Gabriel. The four main mediums I have chosen for executing my ideas are paint on canvas, digital collage, photography, and in poetry. Pictures and words are largely interchangeable; in an age where photographs and videos are as easily inserted into a conversation as text, we have to acknowledge this new addition to our everyday vocabulary. I’m interested in exploring visual art and poetry in tandem, by creating pictures which contain text and text which forms pictures.
