My boyfriend was in an accident on the freeway, then CHP told him that they had called AAA to tow his car. The tow truck operator refused to tow the car to the town where we live. Instead he claimed that he had to take the car to Golden Touch in Hollywood. After the car was dropped off my boyfriend called AAA to find out why the tow truck would not take him where he requested and found out that he was not towed by a AAA certified truck. They had no record of the towing at all. When my boyfriend called Fred at Golden Touch to tell him that the car was being transferred closed to our home he was told he could not have his car without paying a bill for "storage and handling" even though the car had only been there for a few hours. Fred demanded that hundreds of dollars be paid and he would not release the vehicle to the real AAA tow driver until he received payment. I believe they have some sort of scam going with this supposed AAA tow company to bring vehicles to their shop.
