HJC was a decent boarding facility. Stalls were cleaned and horse was always turned out. Allowed boarders to come any time to the barn, which was nice. They were also trained in veterinary care and were always quick and available (but not always easy) to communicate with. Turn out was NOT ideal - more like a feedlot. No shade, no grass, not a lot of room. Indoor and outdoor arena had HORRIBLE footing. Very rocky and hard. I've had my horse for 8 years and he had never been sick until I took him to this facility. Very dusty, not great ventilation. One aisle floods as well when it rains and goes into some stalls. For this type of facility, they should be charging $4-500, not in the $700s. WAY TOO overpriced for the quality of facilities. Would not recommend this boarding facility to anyone in the North Haven area. Good barn for BEGINNER riders, but would not stay here if one would like to grow and develop a professional and competitive show career. They offer a lot of fun young kid activities that would be ideal for anyone age 5-12.
