Andy and his staff did a great job on my new dishwasher.The price was fair and the install was top notch.
Much better experience than the box stores.They spend the time to explain the benefits of one brand over another.
I will be back for my next appliances.

Art's is like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer brings all Jerry's sneakers to the Mom and Pop store only to find out the owner's were never a mom or pop.

There is no Art....Andy is the new Art.



Needed a dishwasher and decided to give a independent our business. They had the Bosch unit we wanted, higher price than Lowe' s but Art's (AKA Andy/s) would give us better installation and service..right? Fugetaboutit.



First the sales guy tries to up our installation charge $40. Andy saves the day telling us we don't have to pay the extra 40...Nice guy, giving us the price we were originally quoted.

It takes a week to get the dishwasher in and

unlike most independents Art's does not have their own installers. A construction company calls to tell us they will be at our house between 3 and 5. Great, my husband leaves work early. But at 5:30 the installers are no show no call. Call Art's but they're gone at 5. Call the installers at the number they originally called from and leave a message. They finally call back and claim they were tied up and can't make it until Saturday.

The dishwasher is installed and working but Art's is s disappointment. My husband misses 2 hours of work and Andy can't see his way to waive the installation fee. Tells me it's not his problem and get the money from the installers.

Sorry, not the way to do business. Go to Lowe's or a decent independent like Gallo's in New Haven

We'd love to have the former owners back as well. The new management is one of dubious honor. Product knowledge is either poor, or the product is misrepresented. Our first major purchase under the new ownership was a nightmare. They sold us the wrong model and made us wait weeks for a factory Rep. Inspect what simply was the wrong unit, they installed a new unit that was malfunctioning. We only learned the truth until we brought in an independent specialist. Arts argued with us in this condescending manner and attempted to shift blame onto us. They were antagonistic bullies. Consumer advocacy and Law Enforcement finally obtained a refund for us.

After shopping at what seemed ...

After shopping at what seemed like every appliance store and big box chain in the New Haven area, we went to Art's. Who knew we had such a gem practically in our own backyard?! We were very happy with our experience. We received what we felt was the best deal of anywhere we had been previously and were treated professionally, respectfully and like valued customers. We didn't feel pressured, didn't have a sales person following us throughout the store (like other stores out there) and didn't feel like we were being sold more than what we needed or wanted. The salesman listened to what we wanted, addressed our questions and concerns and was very helpful throughout the decision-making process. Our purchase delivery was made on time and the delivery guys were incredibly nice...even going so far as to set the clock on our new stove an hour ahead due to daylight savings. :) Overall it was a pleasant buying experience and I hope to enjoy our new appliances for many years to come!

Mr. Coppola would like everyon...

Mr. Coppola would like everyone to believe that he purchased appliances from Art's TV, and that further more he did not get great customer service. The fact of the matter is that he purchased appliances that he is having a problem with from another store, and contacted Art's TV to try to help him with his problem when he received lousy service from the store that he purchased the appliances from. Even though we are not obligated to help customers with issues who purchased their appliances from another store, there are occasions when we will go out of our way to try to help a customer out, even when the appliances were not purchased from us. That is why we have been in business in North Haven for over 30 years and are known for our great customer service. Mr. Coppola likes to point out that he is from a very respected family in the area, but when he contacted Art's TV & Appliance he was extremely rude and disrespectful to myself and my staff. Mr. Coppola knew enough to call Art's TV & Appliance to get the service he wanted when he did not get it from the store he purchased the appliance from. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! THE OWNER ANDY IS ARROGANT! HE DOESN'T WANT TO HELP FIX A PROBLEM. EVEN AFTER I SPENT $15,000 THERE A FEW YEARS AGO. HE SAID, "WHO CARES, IT WAS LIKE 3 YEARS AGO" WOW! BASICALLY IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY I SPENT SINCE IT WAS 3 YEARS AGO. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE IN BUSINESS! I SHOULD OF READ THIS OTHER REVIEWER BEFORE I EVEN CALLED ANDY. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVISE HERE. THIS IS COMING FROM A VERY WELL RESPECTED FAMILY IN THIS AREA WHERE EVERYONE IS RESPECTFUL. I am thrilled that Art's TV has moved to new and expanded quarters. My whole family has been purchasing appliances at Arts for years. It is often difficult to shop with a smaller merchant rather than the large chains like the home stores and appliance stores because of the pricing disadvantage the small retailer has. Not so at Art's. Andy and his associates are more than competetive. From the moment you enter the store you are treated courteously and as an individual. No matter what the question or what the concern about a particular appliance you are always treated as if your purchase that matters. I have on several ocassions gone into the store having an item in mind that I had previously seen at another establishment, knowing full well the competions price, and have always found pricing to be completely competetive and more than once have actually ended up purchasing a model with more features for the same price as the item I had in mind. Delivery and installation have always met with my satisfaction and any concerns that I have had, Andy and his staff have addressed in a professional and courteous manner They care if you come back, I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good deal and an honest information,

We want the old owners back

This business used to be owned by a very nice man Art. He has since sold it to Andy and he is very irrigant and cocky. We bought all of our appliance for our new home as well as our entertainment systems from Art. We will never buy anything from this man. And a word of advise - don't let him know that you are shopping around for prices because he finds that insulting...........He change his whole attitude. Not a very good business man.

I would like to responed to ilmatt03. IF you have a problem and feel as if it was not taken care of please call us to do what ever it is we can to solve your problem. ARTS TV Was sold sometime ago (2001) to some who has been in and around this business for over 20 years. Just as it was 30 years ago we encourage our customers to shop around for price. In most cases we are able to do better on price. We are still able to offer delivery hook up and removal with no hidden charges. Times are tough for most people and we do what we can to keep cost down for our customers. We have been doing business this way for over 55 years. I encourage any one who has a problem to call me personally, so I can help you find a solution.
