Ashaway in now under NEW OWNERSHIP they are no longer in Dartmouth and the two guys who took it over or operating as a service business they came out to my house to service my pellet stove very knowledgeable two young guys really know what they're talking about great service and very friendly I would recommend them to anyone now that they are under new ownership try them out 508-993-5577

BAD SERVICE!

I visited two locations (North Dartmouth, MA & Middletown, RI) for guidance and recommendations to install a gas fireplace or stove. Both locations insisted the best way to offer a recommendation is to have someone go to the house and see what would be the best option. Therefore, I scheduled an appointment for January 24th between the hours of 12:00 to 14:00. It was a disappointment and a waste of my time visiting both Ash Away locations since no one showed up on the appointment date. The next week while traveling back home from work I stopped at the North Dartmouth location and spoke with an individual letting him know that no one showed up for the appointment. He looked up the scheduling in the computer and said they did not have any appointments scheduled. Strange, therefore I asked him to have the individual scheduling the appointments call me the next day to schedule another appointment. I still have not received a call!

The following week I visited another location near my house (Phoenix Sheet Metal). The funny thing is when I entered the store there was a couple who encountered the same issue I had with Ash Away. What does that tell you about Ash Away! BAD SERVICE! I hope management at Ash Away understands what keeps a company in business is customer service. Without customer service, you do not have customers!

Overall, the personnel at Phoenix Sheet Metal were helpful and guided me in the right direction to earn my business.

This year was a "perfect storm" for our business with the extremely mild winter, injured staff members, and the historically low oil prices. These factors combined have resulted in an embarrassing season for us as we have let too many of our customers down. I gave them one star because there is no way to give them zero. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before ordering a wood burning stove from them. I got caught up in the same scam as everyone else. Half the money up front ... install date months out...install date comes and no one shows. I did get my $1800 back but not without a war. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Ordered my pellet stove in February 2014. We were told it would be a couple weeks before installation. the stove was installed many months later. These people have cash flow problems. Finally when they installed it they didn't do the install right and we had to get someone else to fix it at an additional $500+. Do NOT do business with these people!

Bought a Vermont Castings gas stove from these guys a few years ago. Stove has worked very well. The sales staff was knowledgeable and patient as it took my wife and I several visits to finally make up our minds. Had to wait a little while before getting it installed but I guess that's what happens when purchasing in November. I'd rather wait and have an experienced person due the installation anyway. All and all, good group of guys. If I ever need another stove, I'll be back.

Got my new pellet stove a few months ago with no problems. Everyone was helpful, kept me posted and unstalled it when they said they would. Im very pleased with service. I hope to be getting another stove soon.

Needed to clean our chimney and cap it back in June, one guy showed up, said he couldn't do it himself, said he would call, never called!, we went there twice to talk to the owner who had every excuse in the book, it's now August!.. if you didn't want the business, say SOMETHING!... bunch of useless bums!....

My worse experience ever with any company! Ordered my pellet stove 4 months ago. I call and don't get called back, I go there and get a run around, have been promised my stove multiple times and the stove never arrived! Needless to say I asked for my money back and brought my service somewhere elsewhere and received my stove in 3 days. Stay away!

Got my stove a few years ago right before the season. Was a harman pellet stove and I love it! Was very busy and was a wait for the stove. But I did wait till it got busy to buy. Overall experience was great though.

anya, Shame on you, In 25 yrs I have never kept anyones money. I dont even know who you are. Probably didnt want to wait for a stove. If not you would have recieved a refund, Rachael your husband got 50% off a floor model , when he came tp pickup, he wanted more money off, He flipped when i offered him a refund, I was scared, told him to come back when other people around. Nicole no excuse, We were not even that busy yet. We are far from perfect and become overwelmed in the winter, i wish I could even out our year, our service is much better in summer unfortunately,We have alot of loyal customers who have kept us in business 25 yrs . DO NOT GO HERE! I am sorry I did not read the reviews prior to visiting this store. First of all, every time you call, you get an answering machine and they DON'T call you back. We ordered a pellet stove, installation, and tons of pellets and were promised several times over many months of an installation and NOTHING was ever done. The owner blamed the manufacturer, but after we made a call to the manufacturer's home office, we found out that he never even ordered the stove. When we returned to the store for a cash refund, he refused to return our money stating he did not have any money. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and would NEVER go back again!

We went to the store a couple of weeks ago to purchase gaskets for our current stove and fell in love with a floor model that was discounted. went back two days later and left a deposit to purchase it. we worked with Alex who was very nice and helpful and answered all of our questions. He said he would get it cleaned up, install new gaskets and would have it ready within a week or two. we waited a week and called and the person who answered the phone said he didnt sell us the stove and didnt know what we were talking about. Then Alex got on the phone and said the stove was still being used in shop and wasnt ready but he would have it ready on Monday (today).

My husband went today and it still wasnt ready and there was a leg broken that we were unaware of. when he questioned the shop owner Bob about it, he got no response at first and then when he asked again Bob gave him a negative attitude and yelled and swore at him. my husband got angry and asked for the deposit back. at this point he handed his credit card to Bob for refund but he threw it back at my husband and said he would credit our account when he f*cking felt like it. My husband was understandably furious and unhappy with the business practices here and left the shop. when Bob called back and offered the refund my husband returned to take care of it and told him we would no longer be doing business with this company.

I am disappointed that we are not getting this stove but its impossible to do business with people who treat their customers so poorly. Beware of this place and their bad business practices.

My husband called them for help with our wood stove chimney and was told it was their busy season and that they could not help us...then they just hung up on him! So much for customer service! We'll take our business elsewhere...

They fixed it

We have had a stove for along time, I really like to do my own pellet stove cleaning. I have a harman, it is great. there was this whistling noise I could not figure out. They took the time and gave me advice over the phone. I did not even get it from there. They sold me rthis bracket which eliminated the noise. thanks guys

Love my Jotul

Bought a f600 firelight by Jotul. They Beat anybodies price by 8 %. I waited 2 months to get it installed, but I knew it going in. They pulled permit and did a great job. I am so warm. The Tax credit was nice also

They can't give us our stove because they owe back money to the manufacturer.

While the customer service I recieved in the showroom was decent my husband and I are now having massive issues with Ash Away Hearth and Chimney! We ordered our pellet stove SEVERAL months ago and have continuously recieved the brush off as to when it would by in. My husband is very persistent and continued to call (it took SEVERAL) before a manager finally returned a phone call.... I am pregnant and really need to get eveything in place BEFORE my baby arrives and they keep telling us "just a couple weeks..." WELL today "bob" the owner finally called my husband and let him know that we CANNOT RECIEVE the stove we have put a good amount of money on because HE OWES BACK MONEY TO THE COMPANY IT CAME FROM!!!! I don't understand how it's possible to fall behind in paying your vendor unless the money customers are paying isn't going where it is supposed to. NOW we have to either take our refund (which of coarse i am ASSUMING he will return in full...) and either invest it into a stove of lesser value in his store (we were going for the the best stove we could ... a harmon) OR .... SHELL OUT MORE MONEY to another store because everyone is starting to jack up their prices.... WE STARTED LOOKING WHEN PRICES WERE DOWN....



I would not recommend ANYONE using this company. they are unprofessional and very apparantly are unable to follow through with the purchases people put their hard earned money down for!!
