1 –LEAVE THE CALCULATOR AT HOME. You won’t need it. In fact, the less math you know, the more successful the sales staff at Gerald will be! Instead, look at all the pretty cars and the sales staff do that pesky math for you. Duh!
2 –YOUR TRADE IS NOT WORTH WHAT YOU THINK. C’mon, did you really think Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds and even the letter from Gerald Nissan (telling what your car is worth) is really what your car is worth? No, that’s just the, um, it’s the old body style that nobody wants. Yea, just let Gerald Nissan do you a HUGE favor and take your ’08 gas guzzling Sentra off your hands now before you end up having to pay someone to take it later. You’re welcome.
3 – BLOCK OFF YOUR AFTERNOON. Car shopping at Gerald isn’t easy like closing on a house. There’s a whole other lot to check if you want it in red and the manager will have to approve it. Hold on. You can’t rush the Gerald experience so be patient.
4 – AN UNEDUCATED CONSUMER IS GERALD’S BEST CUSTOMER. So don’t walk in to Gerald Nissan thinking you know anything about Nissan incentives and rebates because you don’t. That was last week’s promotion. The less you know, the better.
Most car dealers are scumbags (not all). If you don’t believe me, head over to Gerald Nissan in North Aurora, IL where lies, deception, confusion, low balling trades and many more are practiced every day. If you are looking for a Nissan, forget where you bought your last car. There is no loyalty in this business. Look for high volume dealers and shop around. Be prepared to walk out of a few places and get copies of their best offer so you can use it as leverage at the next dealer. Forget ordering your car. Nissan wont do it if the car exists at another dealer within 100 miles or more. Most Nissan dealers will not transfer just one car from another dealer. After a week of searching, I found my new Nissan at M’Lady in Crystal Lake, IL. HUGE volume dealer and they beat Gerald Nissan by thousands.

Provided by YP.comI fill out online request to buy Nissan Rouge 2013, I got several quote from different dealers. I got relatively cheaper price from Gerald Nissan North Aurora compare to other dealers. So I went to the dealership on 21st May 2013. They did not have same car what they quote (Off course they just want you to visit their place) even though he quote price with VIN #. They tried to sale me lower model with higher price. When I told that "Do I look Idiot" Manager got angry and he realize that I am not going to buy car right now. He told me to get out from that place. He also threatens me that he doesn’t want to insult me in front of my wife. I never see this type of sales manager who don't know how to talk with customer. I will never go to this dealer in future. Please keep yourself away from this dealer. This kind of experience I had in past with this dealer but I didn't mention to anybody but this time I want other people to know so they don't have this kind of experience in future.

Provided by YP.comI purchased a 2013 Altima on the 29th of September. I was sold a car with scratches on it, that Gerald Nissan hoped I wouldn't detect for a while so I would think the scratches happened after I took posession of the car. Lucky for me, I had them tint the windows on the car, which they did the following week. They gave the car its first car wash when I picked up the car after the windows were tinted. As I walked to get in the car I noticed the scratches on rear driver side door and fender. They tried buffing out the scratches, but a couple of washes later they appeared again. That's when I understood whey the switched cars on my wife and I. The car we test drove had 35 miles when we test drove it for no more than 10 miles total. When we took posession it had over 120 miles on the speedometer. I didn't say anything about the miles because we just wanted to go home after being at the dealer for about 4 hours and it was the end of the night. It was the same model so I didn't care about the extra miles...I just never imagined they switched the cars to get rid of a scratched up car on an unassuming customer. They offered to wet sand the damage, but they just don't understand that switching cars on a customer is illegal and wrong. Buy your Nissans at a different Nissan dealer other than Gerald's in North's Aurora or Napervilles.
