The Crisis Residential Program is administered by Montgomery County Emergency Service (MCES), which is a nonprofit behavioral health services provider that has been serving the residents of southeastern Pennsylvania since 1974. Montgomery County Emergency Service offers a range of clinical, educational and outreach services for individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse. Established in 1998, the Crisis Residential Program provides short-term treatment services to adults who suffer from acute psychiatric crisis and are at risk of hospitalization. Its services include individualized treatment planning, nursing and psychosocial assessment, dual diagnosis education, and individual and group counseling. The program also features psychiatric assessment, discharge planning and follow-up services, as well as organizes a variety of social and recreational activities.
