My 26 year old son went to Lake Taylor in Nov (2015). A young man went to reposition my son by himself and my son nearly died. He literally stopped breathing. My son sustained MORE brain injury than he had to begin with. I demanded my son be sent BACK to the hospital that sent him there in the first place. This place should be called the Kevorkian Institute. It's a modern Day Refugee Camp. they have yet to reach out to me with an apology. I guess that would be too much like taking ownership for what they've done or for the damage they've cause. don't be fooled by their website. Ask them o show pics of the second and third floor.

My mom spent the last 2days in pain. The call bell is worthless no one comes. As she cries in pain the Drs and nurses just walk on by.

No one here seems to give a crap

Don't let your loved ones go here unless they are able to get up and RUN away.

I had knee surgery Sept 2015 and went to Lake Taylor rehab center upon leaving the hospital. The PT is great! The staff was very attentive and friendly, my room and bathroom was cleaned daily including the bedding. The food was great. I highly recommend this place. As a matter of fact I will be going back in April 2016.

Their PT is great but you have little access to it, 1.5 hours a day,45 min on Sat, none on Sunday.

Bed went 4 days without being changed, Bathroom 3 days with being cleaned, Glass broke on the weekend and no one had access to mop, picked up glass in sock 2 days later, waited 6 to 7 hours at least once a day for pain medicine with had a 4 hour interval. Great PT horrible nursing

Only a one star because I had to click on something!! Neglect, neglect, neglect. My mother is currently at Lake Taylor as it was recommended for physical therapy. Aside from the therapists the nursing staff is awful and elevated concerns are not even handled by management. Medication errors this morning, nurses that roll their eyes when the call button is pressed, nurses who say they'll "be right back" only to go home and not administer care to the patient. Wound dressings aren't changed per physician orders and we had this discussion with the staff and management for 3 days now. This is a gauze change, not that tough to do. Terrible experience this time (March 2015), last stay was much better but the services are going down hill fast with poor management, lacking oversight, & not appropriately staffing the facility. Mismanagement all the way up! I would certainly search for another location for your loved one or stay in the room with them to advocate for your loved one.

I had a total knee replacement and went to Lake Taylor for rehab.(7/19/14 - 8/01/14) It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The place was very clean, the staff were very professional, caring and personable. The staff answered calls within 2 min. or less most of the time. The PT program is very intense and staff really work to help you get better. There are several very nice court yards which allow you a nice place to read a book, socialize with others or to just relax. There are day rooms for visiting in groups, playing cards or table games. I would recommend this facility to all of my family and friends. The only thing I had a problem with was the food. It was terrible to say the least. This area really needs work. If I ever have to go to reb. again this will be the place. I thank all of the staff who made my stay a pleasant one. Keep up the good work.

I have a close family member who is a respiratory therapy patient. She is neglected often, i beleve because she can't speak to voice her needs or concerns. I have arrived on more than one occaision to find her covered in feces, the last time it took 50 minutes from the time I notified the staff until she was cleaned up. I have been told that many simple request wpold be attended to but they never materialize. I feel that they make excuses more than anything else . As soon as my relative is able to be moved I will tranfer them to another facility.

I give Lake Taylor 5 stars. Why? The staff was happy to do their job each day. Liked the fact they had Wii in PT. One disturbing thing. Every year, mother ducks raise their babies there. They are being attacked (pecked to death) by crows! Very cruel for patients to see. They are literally sitting ducks. Suggest they protect somehow. At least, put water/food out of the open. Then Lake Taylor will be the best!

If you love your family member do not send them here.

Since the day my brother was taken to Lake Taylor there have been nothing but problems. The staff is not very compassionate and has a " we will get to you when we feel like it attitude". Some of the Respiratory staff do not respond to patients who need assistance very fast and by very fast I mean over 10 mins or longer. The nurses do not answer the nurse call buttons very fast either. And if you have had a bowl movement and need to be cleaned up don't expect the CNA to get to for like an hour or more. The CNA is supposed to check on each patient every two hours to see if they need to be changed, well that does not happen. Not sure where this place gets their staff but if I ran the place I would fire them all and hire more qualified staff, doctors included.
