At our Norfolk, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I am partial to Captain D's for a quick snack when I am tired of Burgers, but lately this Little Creek road location has been quite unprofessional and I would rather drive across town than to stop here. We all love our children, but I do not expect to hand over my money to someone so busy laughing with co-workers and yelling across the shop that I was not even acknowledged while paying for my food. Additionally, I had to blow the horn to ask for my condiments because apparently the cell phone conversation was more important than what I was asking for. Employ the teens, but PLEASE train them as well!
