Provided by YP.comWow. Just Wow. Thai Erawan has arrived here finally. Just like the original, the quality and consistently is still best. First, I have to tell you I was born and raised in Thailand and food is just like back home. This is authentic Thai food and real taste will just blow your mind. I been to a lot of Thai restaurant with my mother. You know how picky your mother can when it come to their own native food. When your mother say this is good food, then you know that Thai Erawan is SUPER good.
Service: The server was very attentive to my need. the staff was very polite and help us guide through the menus. We didn't mention that we know Thai, but they was still consistently present us with quality service.
Experience: The decor was really beautiful. I really enjoy the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The place look really good. You can tell that they put in a lot of detail to make it feel like Thailand and give us a upscale experience. This is nice place to take your date to. Good setting and good food that just make the overall experience wonderful.
Food: This Thai food is simple yet diverse; classic yet innovative. I don't know how they did it, be it fish, fowl, vegetable, or beef, they created an authentic Thai flair. We are way too far from Thailand, but they can still bring Thai flavor here in Norfolk. I recommend that you try Gaeng Kiaw Wan (Thai Green Curry,) the curry have just the right amount of spice and heat. The beef is nice and tender. If you are craving for some chickens, I recommend Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup,) the soup have some real good lemongrass and traditional curry paste. I can eat that soup all day long. Then there is dish that everyone always think about when they heard the word, Thai food. Pad Thai is excellent. There is nothing else to say about that food. However, I do understand that if you only eat Pad Thai. It is that good, but there is a lot of excellent food to try.
Based on my criteria, I giving a five stars rated for this restaurant. I am definite coming back to try some more new dishes. This is going to be one place where I can sit, relax, and enjoy my Siam, land of smile.
