The management does not appreciate the people who work the hardest and know what they're doing. You could work there for 10 years and still not be appreciated. You could work 90 hours there and still be extremely unappreciated. I would never recommend anyone to work at any of these communities. The residents come first, but nobody truly cares about these residents because of the amount of work they have to put into to even take care of these residents. The stress factor for employees is tremendous because of all the things you are expected to do in a shift. Some of the things are impossible to do. They want you to take care of the residents, but drop everything when they need you to do something for them. Expecting everyone to be happy when they truly aren't. If you aren't happy, your work performance will diminish. They are always pointing out what is wrong, instead of pointing out what is right. They say it's all about the residents, but it truly is about the money and their budget and how well they look. Staff members are exhausted or inexperienced and you will not find good workers for the pay they offer you. I would not recommend anyone to move their loved ones into any of these facilities either. You will not get the care you pay an absurd amount of money for. It's a beautiful place, very clean. Apartments are beautiful and well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly and energetic, but this is not a good company to work for. A very qualified and key employee (business office manager) who left has yet to be replaced and she has been gone for over a month. Many people are unhappy including past managers, which is the reason why many have left and many continue to leave. Ask yourself why there are so many people leaving the company. Then ask yourself are you doing enough.. Because you are not. You will not find happiness in this company. The Executive Director does not truly care about these residents, or the staff members. He truly only cares about himself. Isn't willing to listen to issues going on in the building, to make things better with residents or staff members and is more than willing to throw you under the bus if he has nothing to do with a situation. He even let the Activities Director keep her job after an innocent bystander saw her texting and driving the Maplewood at Newtown bus with resident and staff members aboard the bus. HORRIBLE COMPANY HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER
