Nanas Irish Pub & Kitchen is owned and operated by the mother-daughter team of Philomena O'Brien and Tara Coughlan. The family moved to the United States in the 1990 and has been offering traditional Irish hospitality and fare ever since. After moving to the Oregon Coast from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, Nanas Irish Pub & Kitchen is delighted to have become a part of the Nye Beach community of Newport, Oregon. Nana's opened in January 2008 and we have been very grateful for the friends we have made here in the Nye Beach area of Newport, Oregon. Our goal is to fill our restaurant with the tastes, sounds, and experiences of our Irish heritage. From hearty pot pies to Fish N' Chips made with our house beer batter, delicious Reuben sandwiches and home-made soups and salad dressings, there's surely something for everyone. To accompany the tasty cuisine we offer imported beers on tap, a nice selection of wines, as well as spirits and liqueurs. Whether you wish to feast yourself on the tastes of Ireland, listen to live music & entertainment or sit outside and relax on our patio, be assured you'll have a great time. Kids are welcome 'till 10pm so bring the whole family!

Nice places to warm up from the cold. Usually a band playing on weekend evenings. Get there early or plan to wait.

Great food in Newport

Me and my fiancé ate here after reading the great review previously posted we shared a Reuben which is not your typical Reuben but with a home made corned beef you can not go wrong. We also shared a scotch egg app which are sausage wrapped hard boiled eggs and then deep fried, highly recommended. We also shared a hog wing app which is very good. My only complaint is there is only 2 hog wings per order. I would definitely return.

This was our first time here but we love Irish pub's. We chose to eat outside on the patio and really enjoyed it.

The food was great. I opted to start with their clam chowder to see how it compared with a local seafood place that specialized in clam chowder and Nana's won hands down. No slabs of butter on it and loaded with clams. I could have made a meal of it. It was served with a large slice of irish soda bread that was also wonderful.

I ordered the Shepard's pie and it was wonderful. Probably one of the best I've had in a long time. Hubby had the curry pie (vegetarian) and he loved it. Both we served with a large slice of irish soda bread. Portions are plentiful and considering I started out with clam chowder I ended up taking half of my entree home.

Would I go back....in a heartbeat.
