A relatively new business, as far as I know. Very close to my family's home in Newport Beach. I stumbled upon this place and fell quickly in love.



This is a lovely little salon (very close to the beach and Cafe Alta) run by a very sweet woman who really knows so much about hair. The stylist that I visit every chance I get (Sima, also the owner) specializes in curly hair... which is a relief for all you poor, traumatized, curly- haired gals who have had any unsatisfactory salon visit due to the majority of stylists who know nothing about curly hair.



I would recommend this salon to people who like the intimacy of smaller salons and can appreciate a genuinely kind and happy- spirited stylist.

I had been going to my previous hair stylist for over 10 years when someone recommended Sima to me. I was somewhat hesitant to go to someone new but I love her. Her pricing is great, she is super friendly and does an awesome job. I've sent at least 4-5 people to her and they love her just as much as I do!

Upon my visit to Basin Street, I was very impressed at how clean and tidy their shop was. The owner, Sima, was very friendly and made my visit a delight. And she gave me a haircut that I got complimented by, which has never happened before.

Thanks for a great job and I will definitely be coming back again!
