Being Italian obviously does'nt mean you can make good Italian food. I ate there a couple weeks ago and expected some atleast decent Italian, salad was boring and very olice garden-ish, service was slow and the server had to sloppily read off the specials like a stuttering spelling bee drop out. I tried the pasta special they were offering , preatty bland , pasta was overdone, I took a few bites and decided to take the rest home but had to think twice before giving it to my dog, he already has stomach problems. I didn't order dessert, they had some frozen cake garbage,

I figured I had wasted enough money and besides there was a cold stone next door. Overall this place is an epic fail and waste of prime realty in Ashley Park.

Everything about this establishment is fantastic! The menu, people, service and the food are exceptional!!! YOU MUST GO HERE IF YOU ENJOY GREAT FOOD.

Service at our table was described by one member of our party as "The worst I've experienced in my life." This coming from a world traveler. Waitress kept apologizing for her oversights, but never stepped up her game. Of the five entrees we ordered, 2 were excellent, one was described as "edible" and two went untouched as it seemed that something was surely wrong with the sauce. The waitress didn't charge us for the untouched. Atmosphere was very loud and unpleasant on a Friday night. Upon first arriving--While waiting for our table, ordered drinks at the bar. Bartender service non-existent. When our table was ready told we had to pay for our drinks at the bar before being seated. Took another 15 minutes to get bartender's attention and make payment. They stuffed 5 of us into a booth for four. We asked for something bigger and were told that the larger tables were for the larger parties. ??? This was not the first visit for anyone in our party, but it will be the last. There are other upscale restaurants in the area that are on the ball. In this economy, when I go out for an upscale meal, I want to come away happy that I parted with that kind of money.

I am an Italian and consider myself knowledgeable about good Italian food. Mama Lucia's is very good, probably the best you can find on the south side of Atlanta. Go here and you will enjoy!
