The Coweta County Prison is a 216-bed facility that provides detention facilities to state and county criminals sentenced by the Georgia Department of Corrections and local courts. It supports various mandatory and voluntary training programs that involve substance abuse, victims impact, family violence and religious activities. The inmates perform a variety of functions for the county, such as road paving and maintenance, building construction, landscaping and lawn maintenance, animal care, road construction, laundry and food service.
