I went to The Corner Tavern with my husband yesterday because I saw that they serve Korean lunches and dinners. The nearest place for Korean food is up in the Atlanta area, so we decided to give it a try. When we first walked in, I noticed an odd odor. Strike one. There were only a couple of people at the bar, so we seated ourselves at a booth. The tables and booths are oddly set up. The place could use someone with some decorating skills to make the place look nicer. Blow up coconut tree on the stage looks cheesy. We received our meal in a bento box and had to laugh when we got fried mushrooms with it. No kimchee! Our waitress told us there was kimchee, but not on the menu, so we ordered some separately when we placed our order. But come on, no kimchee in a Korean lunch?? Suggestion.. lose the mushrooms and orange slices and add the kimchee and maybe some bean sprouts to all of the Korean meals. But other than that, our food was good. I'll order the Korean food again, but as take out. The decor in there was just too blah and on top of that there was no background music to listen to, so it just didn't feel comfortable to eat there.
