After growing up on the coast of Maine, exploring tide pools and often buried in a good book, Abigail obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Maine. After seeing how acupuncture provided drastic relief to a close family member, she was inspired to pursue the healthcare field and continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA). There she gained clinical experience in integrative settings including Cambridge Health Alliance and the NESA teaching clinic. Abigail is trained in both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, Orthopedic acupuncture, and Shakuju Therapy. With this range of treatment styles, she is able to meet a broad range of patient needs. Whether you have a stubborn musculoskeletal complaint, or are overcome with anxiety; whether you are a seasoned acupuncture patient or are terrified of needles, Abigail will be able to offer you a variety of treatment options (even non-insertive techniques!). With a passion for further education, Abigail is currently working towards her Masters of Science in Pain Research, Education, and Policy through Tufts University School of Medicine. In her clinical practice, she has seen first-hand how the relationship between stress and pain perpetuate and impact daily life. It is rare that one exists without the other, and neither resolve unless they are both addressed. This has driven Abigail to specialize in Stress and Pain Management. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle modification, and her Western medical training, Abigail supports the release and management of both physical and emotional pains. By breaking this cycle, individuals are able to find relief, take control of their lives, and move forward. In her spare time Abigail loves immersing herself in nature, and getting plenty of fresh air while kayaking, hiking, and snowshoeing!
