Camp Ho Mita Koda, the oldest summer camp in the nation for children with diabetes was created to help children realize that they are not alone living with diabetes. Top-notch medical professionals from University Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic Hospital and MetroHealth Hospital along with trained Camp Counselors provide vital diabetes self-care skills that help campers become more independent and confident in managing their diabetes.

Campers sleep in wooden cabins. All Cabins are screened, have ceiling fans, electricity and an emergency phone that is connected to the dispensary.The Boys cabins are separate from the girls cabins. Campers share their belongings in shared lockers in the cabins, Camp Store, Julia's Treehouse
