Do not shop here, they do not stand behind their products. I bought a bag of Fromm dog food last week and it made my dog sick from the moment she started eating it. I tried to return it (with the receipt and the remaining food) within 10 days of the purchase and they would not give me my money back or a store credit because I had thrown my bag away. I store the food in a storage container rather than the bag. I took the entire container of food back to the store with me, but they would do nothing for me because I no longer had the bag. The response from the owner is absolutely not true, I did not throw the food out. They should stand behind what they sell, especially if it is poisoning someones pet. To the owner, please get the facts straight before you respond to a negative review.

As the owner of Pets 1st, I can assure the community that we do stand behind our products to the extent that our carefully-chosen manufacturers do. Returns for food will be honored according to the Pets 1st return policy and only with the return of actual product so that we can return it to the manufacturer. In this particular return request, no product was presented for return, and we were told that it was thrown out. Pets 1st stands ready to accept this product for return in accordance with our return policy if the remaining product is brought into the store.



Because our focus is on the health and safety of ALL pets, when a pet experiences a severe reaction to a food, our policy is to work with the owner to bring the issue to the attention of the manufacturer: We ship the returned product back to the manufacturer with a description of the symptoms or reaction experienced and request an analysis of the product. We consider this an important step, as it could identify a potential safety issue at large.



According to purchase history, this food (poison?) had been purchased three times. Fromm is an exceptional food manufactured in a quality, family-owned facility in Wisconsin. They will honor the return of this product if it is made available to Pets 1st. A copy of this review/reply is being sent to our Fromm representative.

Pets 1st is an honest place! In other stores they sell pet food for dogs and cats with corn as the first couple ingredients (FYI: ingredients are listed descending in weight). Instead of feeding my dogs and cats-that are carnivores- corn and chicken by-products, I want to feed them real meat! Pets 1st is the place to go for this. None of their products have corn or fillers. None of their food has by-products or recalls. They sell quality food. They also sell small animal food as well that has a frequent buyer program! Recommended!
