Clinic way overpriced. Doctors are nice enough, but everything costs a fortune and they won't exchange contacts on unopened boxes if our prescription changes. And just plan for your appointment to take a few hours every visit instead of a reasonable amount of time.

The eye doctors are great and really do thorough exams. The only problem I have ever encountered was the staff. I have had so many issues with getting my contacts ordered, not to mention I am given so much towards contacts by my insurance company that I should not have to pay out of pocket. My frustration is with the front staff and not the doctors, which really sucks and is most likely going to force me out if that office.

Appears they are taking new clients just not on the insurance I have which is listed on their webpage. So it appears some discrimination is occurring.

Drs Kathy Sovine & Cheryl Wood provide the most thorough eye exams. They are professional and caring doctors. The office is beautiful and they have a great selection of glasses. I would highly recommend them!

-Way overpriced. Even with my insurance paying $130 towards my contacts I was only able to get 6 months worth because they charge more than double the listed price for them.

-Receptionist were very unprofessional. When I first walked in I had to wait a couple minutes because they were having a conversation about a man that was 5'5 and one was certain that he weighed less than the other..and so on. There was a sign that said no food or drink and one was eating a cookie and drinking a Pepsi while she entered my paperwork.

-I have worn the same contacts for years so why would I need a contact fitting exam. But I was charged a $50 copay for it.

- The only nice thing I have to say about this place is the doctor was very friendly

During a vacation to Ohio I developed an eye irritation and was directed to Newark Optometry. What I thought was something simple turned out to be an infection diagnosed by Dr. Wood and she took exceptionally great care of me. Not only did she see me a second time when I had a question, but she followed up with me at home to ensure the prescribed medicine was working properly. Truly professional, caring and outstanding. If I lived near Newark, I would choose this office and its excellent staff in a heartbeat.
