I personally had a great experience at lmh tonight. I had a pretty serious allergic reaction. They were quick, I was signed in and taken right back. They were kind and efficient (had meds within 15 minutes). I've only ever been to one other hospital this quick, and I'm thankful they took my reaction as seriously as they did, because I could have felt worse before meeting them

diann91760 posted a similar experience. I am adding my experience to let others know how terrible the ER department can be. The ER acknowledged I was experiencing hypertensive urgency. They told me it was not life-threatening (lie) and to wait to see a primary care physician. After being assigned a primary care physician within their network, they let me walk out the door. After trying to book an appointment with the doctor assigned to me, I found I would be waiting until December. Another doctor within the OSU network told me they should have never let me leave the ER. Do not trust or recommend. The staff were less than courteous, they were rude and express frustration when you walk in the door. If you interrupt their little gossip sessions expecting help they will glare at you and slam sign-in papers on the desk. Sorry I expected you to do your job. Yikes. It is obvious that it is OK to treat customers terribly there.

Licking Memorial Hospital Emergency Room dont go there!

My sister went to the ER at licking memorial hospital in newark ohio, she is 49 years old. She had a swollen right hand with radiating pain of at least 7/10 her blood pressure was over 180, pain and limping right leg, pain right side of her throat, head ache. The doctor (Kevin Finley) came in and told her that her symptoms were not life threating and told her to go see her family doctor, and told her just because she didnt not have medical insurance was not a reason to come to the emergency room. He did no tests what so ever and sent her home without even giving her something for the pain! WHAT A CROCK OF @! THE POOR @%!$ DIDNT WANT TO TREAT HER BECAUSE HE WASNT GOING TO BE ABLE MAKE HIS CAR PAYMENT ON HIS PORCHE OFF HER. I DIDNT THINK A HOSPITAL COULD TURN PATIENTS AWAY LIKE THAT.
