Founded in 1974, the Tennis Industry Association, formerly known as the American Tennis Industry Federation, is a nonprofit trade association that represents the interest of its member companies by keeping a pulse on the industry and its needs. The association is a research source and interviews more than 30,000 tennis players and over 2,000 retailers, as well as nearly 10,000 facility owners throughout the year. The Tennis Industry Association is affiliated with the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association in the state of New York. Its members include the manufactures of indoor and outdoor court surfaces and apparel, footwear, strings, racquets, balls, and ball machines and racquets machines.
