I paid a deposit of $2300 on 5/19/15 for installation of fitted carpet. The installation was delayed twice (!!!!) but, finally, scheduled and completed on 8/24/15. I was not satisfied with installation and, that evening, sent photos by email of the wrinkled carpet, saying that I would pay the balance (approx $1400), by check, when the problem was fixed. I was told, in an email, that the problem was easy to fix. I replied, offering two dates for a service call, but didn't hear back. Imagine my ASTONISHMENT when I saw, less than two weeks later, on my credit card bill, that the store had BILLED ME for the BALANCE on 8/13/15 - in other words, ELEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE (FAULTY) INSTALLATION. IT WAS CRIMINAL TO CHARGE MY CARD FOR THE BALANCE BEFORE THE CARPET WAS INSTALLED. So, in summary, the installation was put off twice, the installation was faulty, and the company took the balance owed before they had even installed the carpet. Thank goodness VISA cancelled payment of the balance, which won't be paid until the problem is fixed to my satisfaction. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

My wife decided it was time to replace our living room carpet that we purchased in 1995 at Manhattan Carpet and Flooring on 23rd Street. After shopping for wall to wall carpet we decided to purchase once again from them. They had the best selection and pricing. Their installation team arrived on time and removed the old carpet and meticulously installed the new padding and carpet. Manhattan Carpet and Flooring are consummate professionals. Why go anywhere else!

I have used Manhattan Carpet and Flooring to buy carpeting for both my home and my office, each several times over the past 20 years. I no longer go anywhere else because the sales help, selection, and prices have been so superb. Did I mention the selection? There are books upon books at a range of prices from budget to more high end than I can afford. The installations have been very good - better than from another local high-end store, my only standard of comparison. I've looked at other places, and the selection and prices don't compare.

We used this company to carpet a new training room. They did a terrible job with the cove molding and I called everyday for three weeks for a receipt for my payment. I do not recommend this business. Better off using Empire Carpet...

I have been a very happy and satisfied customer of Manhattan Carpet for over 20 years. They have perfectly installed wall to wall carpets in my bedroom and living room. I have also purchased 4 area rugs of various sizes from their redi-cut division over the years(1 as recently as Sept. 2010). Very satisfied with Christian and Dave's advice and assistance.

A large commercial installation of linoleum sheeting in a professional office was totally inadequate and unsatisfactory. Floor was left with knife cuts, cement, and unlevel in many areas.Owner was unresponsive to remedy situation and make necessary repairs or reparation.DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS
