Paley motto: : "Make sure to pay the rent in time and do not bother us". I am currently leaving in one of the buildings. To recap the issues of the last month only: elevator out of service for a week, laundry room out of service "until the work is done", gas was disconnected with no restoration date notice because the building now is awaiting some approval for meter replacements, hot and cold water turned off for the day (in order to work on the boiler that has been having ongoing problems throughout the winter meaning no heat or hot water frequently)... If you call Mr Paley and complain, he will tell you that you have to deal with it and you're the only tenant who is complaining, then he will simply hang up on you. He simply denies any issues and doesn't think that his company is in any way liable to compensate for your troubles. The most unprofessional, indifferent building management I have ever dealt with. Stay away unless you want to deal with this.

I totally agree with the last reviewer. Paley has a reputation for being one of the very worst management agency in the city. He and his staff regularly spreads gossip about his tenants' financial and legal affairs (which is probably a legal violation), and their basic bookkeeping and accounting is a mess. They treat their clients terribly, and can scarcely complete the most basic building services. There's nothing redeemable about these people and this company. I would advise the NYC Department of Building to investigate them. They almost certainly ought to be shut down.

These people are the most incompetent, degenerate bunch of crooks allowed to operate a business in NYC. Paley and his retarded office staff should be in jail with the crap they pull. The women in the office named Kim appears to have not graduated elementary school and is just a slob.

Avoid at all costs!!! Frequent problems in this building since moving in just a year ago. Leaking skylight above our bed (!) that wasn't fixed for months despite multiple calls and complaints, often no hot water which takes hours for them to fix for whatever reason (once it was off for 2+ days). Most disturbing is a homeless woman who has taken to sleeping in our hallway!! She comes in the middle of the night, takes all her clothes off, puts down newspapers and smokes cigarettes. A VERY DANGEROUS situation and Paley Management has done little to resolve the situation. After repeated calls and visits, and finally a certified letter documenting problems and threatening legal action, they merely fixed the entry doors so that they close and lock, but did NOT change the locks as promised. They do not care about their tenants and act like you are a nusiance because you want a safe place to live!!!
