Established in 1982, Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics provides education in grades nine through 12 and is located in New York City. It offers a wide selection of course, such as art, music, English, computer technology, physical education, health, science, social studies, economics and global history. The school provides work study internships to students in the Pleasantville Youth Center, Metropolitan Hospital, college office, Children Aids Society Office and school store. It also offers various extracurricular activities that include after school tutoring, athletics, dance, National Honor Society, special scholars program, college program and student government. The school provides guidance services that assist students in orientation to school and new situations, diploma requirements, career awareness and information, self- awareness and postsecondary educational planning.
