I needed alterations to 2 designer retail dresses- both need to go up a size. Not easy alterations by any means.The detail to both dresses were very intricate, especially the stitching which was done by a special machine that no tailor seemed to own. I brought the dresses to Miss Lai . She consulted with me for a lengthy period telling me what she was going to do to each dress. She even got bits of fabric and showed the stitch she was going to do on the band of each dress. Even the alterations were very complicated she quoted a very reasonable price. She hand stitched the parts for the machine that was rear and did an amazing job keeping the exact design of the dress. The fit was amazing. I would recommend her to anyone and certainly use her again. I am very very satisfied.

I brought my strapless mermaid wedding gown here for alterations - shortening the hem, taking in the bust/waist/hips, and bustle, and I am incredibly pleased with the results. Mrs. Yee charged much less than what other wedding dress tailors were quoting for the alterations, and the turnaround time was great. When I picked up the dress - it fits perfectly. At the original fitting, she was very detailed about taking my measurements and pinning the dress. And at the fitting last week, we needed to make only minor alterations to make it fit like a glove. I don't speak Chinese, but Mrs. Yee speaks some English and understands very well - so I was able to communicate what I wanted without a problem. I think it really helps that Mrs. Yee is a dressmaker and has had 30 years of experience - she knows how dresses are made and how they're supposed to fit. I will definitely be going back.
