The place to be to anyone who is thinking of getting an eye checkup. The place is clean and the doctors are really experts in their own fields.

I'm always recommending this optical shop to my friends. The doctors and staff are nice. They have post sales services. They can clean your eyeglasses and maintain it for free.

Most opticians are about the same - they want your money and they don't care about you because you are just another sucker, er, customer. I am pleased to say that I have finally found a notable exception - Clairmont Nichols Opticians.



I recently experienced one of the finest buying experiences I ever had at CN Opticians. I needed to buy a strong magnifying glass for my almost 90 year old mother. I could not find any other optician who carried magnifiers or who knew much about them.



I looked up magnifying glasses in the phone book and saw CN's listing and gave them a call. The salesman I spoke to was very polite and understanding and invited me to come the next day to sit down and compare the different models they had.



The nexr day I came and met a wonderful salesman named George who took the time to explain the facts I needed to know. Then I brought in my mother who was waiting in the car and he allowed her to compare many different magnifiers.



She selected the one she wanted and I paid for it. The thing we never felt pushed or neglected. No hard sell or soft sell, just the time and facts we needed to get the right magnifier. Now George did not know what I was going to buy, in other words, how much I was going to spend; I could have cheaped out or even walked out. But I did not. Of course, the one I bought was not cheap, but it was the right one and left the store fully satisfied.



I only wish every store could be like Clairmont Nichols. In the perfect world, they would be. But at least I had the satisfaction of finally coming across one of the best!
