The absolute worst place. I had high hopes for this place, but nobody knows whats flying here. The billing dept will never get back to you, which is a lot like the doctors. Do not waste your time going here. You time is precious especially when going through infertility and this place will just make it worse.

most of the doctors have no bed side manners. Dr Zimmerman looks upset all the time and seems like he doesn't want to be there at all. He is very dirty looking and everytime I had a monitoring visit I would request not to see him, but of course I was seen by him. Dr. Rackow is actually lovely to deal with so if u go there, I do recommend her. Dr. Rudick seems like a moron. And finally the worst of them all, Dr McConnell she is just so unsympathetic and basically could not care less to hear any concerns or questions you may have. Stay away from this place

Horrible place

This is the worst place to go when dealing with Infertility. The drs do not invest anytime in any of their patients. The entire place acts like a factory giving pagers to patients and are called to pay their bill prior to receiving any treatment. I dealt with guarnaccia who was very nice, Zimmerman who is very by the book, and McConnell who is the most uncaring and unsympathetic human being. Whenever I asked her a question about what I was going through she gave me a dirty look and basically answered as if I was bothering her. They never explained when to come in for procedures and why and when given two IUIs didn't even give an ultrasound to reassure me that the timing was right. It basically felt like they were messing up with the purpose to push IVF and make out of pocket money. Along with this they are impossible to get on the phone going through automated systems and dealing with incompetent human beings. When dealing infertility I believe you need explanation, sympathy, and someone to help hold your hand through this hard time. If you are seeking any of this do not go here!!!

Columbia Infertility can be su...

Columbia Infertility can be summed up in two words - ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I had a consult with Dr Thornton a few weeks ago. The visit went smoothly and I actually liked the doctor. However, it was all downhill from there. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone on the phone, i.e. nurses, receptionists, billing, etc. Talk about a factory. Their centralized system is ridiculous. It's like pulling teeth to talk to a live person. I was told to make a "consent appointment" (an appointment for the sole purpose of signing iui consent forms in front of a doctor) before my cycle started. When I called to make the appointment (oh btw the appt line is the only phone line Columbia answers), I was advised the next appointment was 3 weeks out. Given the fact that my cycle was starting in a week, this was clearly a problem. The receptionist transferred me to the nurses station, of course they couldn't help, so I was then transferred to the "patient advocate". I left her a message and never received a call back. All this to get an appointment??? Then I attempted to get test results...another 4 day affair. The bottom line is, this process is stressful enough and Columbia's staff makes it 100 times more stressful. Like I said, absolute disgrace. I wish I would have read these reviews before my appointment. Run like the wind ladies!

Where do I start. Well to sum ...

Where do I start. Well to sum it up, while the doctors there are awesome - the staff quite frankly is not. The male receptionist Rajiv and the female receptionist Nadina are the most unprofessional people I have ever met. In a professional environment such as a medical office, staff should not make fun of the doctors so loudly and laugh. They must have thought patients could not hear them but clearly I did. Besides that, the first approach I received from Nadina was a displeasing look and manner. Improper grammer, badly dressed, rude tone, unwilling to help - she did not seem like someone belonging to work in an environment such as a medical office. The male receptionist Rajiv was not helpful and did not seem like he knew what he was doing. As I asked the both of them questions in trying to be helped, they were too busy laughing with each other to help me out. Those two should be fired and should take their romance elsewhere, not in a professional medical office!
