I have no idea where these bad reviews are coming from. I have been seeing Dr. Brill since the onset of my pregnancy and she had been great to deal with. I find her very professional and knowledgeable and trust her inplicitly with delivering my child. Ladies, if you someone to fluff your pillow and braid each others hair, Dr. Brill is not your gal, but if you want a competent OB, I wouldn't hesitate.

(One less star for the receptionists - they are kind of rude...)

I'm going to Dr Agayeva since 2009, when I got pregnant with my first child. After seeing four different doctors and trying to find someone I personally like, I stayed with her. When I got pregnant second time, I went to her without any doubt! I trust her completley, with my health and pregnancy! Great doctor!

Dr. Kamila Agayeva was and still is my obgyn since 2006. I was really lucky to find her, and I did so without any recommendation, I just randomly chose a dr. and went. I'm truly blessed that I found her. Reading all those negative reviews was really shocking to me, and I feel it is very unfair, that's why I decided to write this, bc usually I don't this.

Now I have 3 kids and 4th one on the way.

Unfortunately when I was giving birth to my first child I had different obgyn and didn't know dr. Agayeva then. So my first experience giving birth was horrible, and even after I gave birth I constantly felt pain. So I started seeing many other obgyns, bc first one could not figure out what was wrong with me,and none of the other obgyns could diagnose me correctly also and all of them said, chances for having a second child are very slim. Until I finally found dr. Kamila Agayeva she is the only one who diagnosed me correctly and scheduled a surgery for me AFTER MY 1st VISIT TO HER!!!

After a little while I started getting pregnant again, and now I have 3 kids and forth one on the way. For my 3rd child we had to do a c-section bc my little girl was very big. Now I have no visible scars from both of my surgeries, even tho my friend who had also a c-section with another obgyn has a scar twice bigger what I had at the beginning, and hers is very visible bc her dr. did it very high up for some reason.

Now I'm pregnant with my 4th child, and I wouldn't change obgyn for anything, and not once I even thought about it.

She is a the best doctor I have met, she is a wonderful person and she does her job very well. Maybe she does not have much time to chit chat with patience about irrelevant stuff, but she does her job better than any doctor that I have met in my opinion.

If ppl write bad reviews bc she does not council them about their personal life that is not connected to medical issues in any way.

Don't listen to all those reviews. I've been a patient of Dr.Brill for 7 years now. She is a great doctor. She delivered my second child and I couldn't be happier with her as a doctor.

This review is for Dr. Brill, who is very money hungry and cares about making money more that cares about treating patients. Here's my experience with the above mentioned doc.:

The first appmt with Dr. Brill, I was asked health questions by the nurse (who is the only pleasant person there, BTW), then taken to Dr. Brill's office, where we quickly went through my health history, then we went to the exam room, where she did a quick exam and left, and I was told to get dressed, and while nurse was walking me out, she was explaining to me how to take prescribed meds. Normally, that would be the doctor's job, in her office, where she would also give me her feedback on her exam. But not in this case. Time is money!

My second appmt was about 8 months later... I was taken by the nurse straight to exam room this time, where I was waiting for Dr. Brill in exam room, for about 20 mins. When she walked in she asked me how I was doing while preparing something, took PAP-smear and walked out. That was it. The doctor did not take her time to ask me ANYTHING! No-one even called me with the results of that test. I had to call myself after 2 weeks of waiting. Then she billed the second appmnt as the Medical Procedure, just so I would pay a co-payment, which is waived by my insurance if it's anything else, BUT the Medical Procedure. She figured out the loopholes to bill the most for the least time spent. Stay away from that office. I know it's a hard to find a good GYN doc, but believe me, they are out there! Check reviews before you go.

The manhattan office was full and I wanted the earliest appointment so I opted for the Brooklyn office. Thats about 2 hours away from where I live. First, the receptionists were just awful. So incredible rude! I know they want to help by giving fellow Russian ladies jobs but that shouldn't disregard the need for nice pleasant receptionists. Receptionists are the FACE of the office. An OBGYN office has to be welcoming and comfortable. For goodness sakes you are going to get the most important and private part of your body checked out!! The least you want is to feel comfortable! I cannot stress that enough! Anyway, my appointment was 12:30... I was seen at 1:30. My appointment was rushed. She worked faster on me than they do at Fast Food Restaurants. Considering this is a doctor I would have liked her to be more attentive. I didn't even get blood work done. It was also never offered to me. Once she was done with her super fast test, I felt I was being kicked out! She rushed out and said her goodbyes. There was no other patients in the office so where was she rushing to....I also wanted to discuss alternative birth control options. NONE of which were even asked if I wanted to discuss! She didn't even look at my chart prior to seeing me because the chart was sitting in the room waiting for her like I was for 30min. Once she left, I wanted to leave so I just told the nurse to tell the doctor to give me a new BC prescription. I get out of there as fast as possible go straight into the train. Then the rude receptionist calls me and say the doctor isn't finished talking to me. I tell her "yes she did she said her goodbyes". She tells me I have to come back...Do you have no respect? I am already on the train! Needless to say I go back and I wait, again. I see the doctor and she says they told me you needed to speak to me. I tell her they told me she needed to speak to me...Talk about miscommunication. That whole process was a waste of time. So to sum it up, I left my house at 10:40 and got home at 3:40 for a 10 minute "check up". Now I have to make another appointment with my general doctor and ask for blood work. Also another appointment with a NEW OBGYN to discuss birth control options. Waste of time and money and travel and everything.

Dr. Brill was so knowledgeable and professional. Both my pregnancies went smoothly because of her calm and supportive attitude toward expecting woman, even so I was pretty nervous during my 1st pregnancy. May be one has to wait in the waiting room, but this so common for doctor practice. For me, personally, it was not a big deal. Both deliveries were in Lenox Hill Hospital, where the hospital staff said very respectful words about Dr. Brill. For somebody she may sound rude, but she is not! Like her very much, and for sure would like to recommend her and Dr. Agaeva.

Dr.Kamila Agayeva was the firs...

Dr.Kamila Agayeva was the first OBGYN I ever saw, and the experience I had with her scarred me for life. Not only did she misdiagnose me, she also had the nerve to imply that my partner had cheated on me!

I simply went for my first pelvic exam and PAP smear. After a brief consultation, I was put up in stirrups, where as soon as she took a look at me, she declared I had HPV. When I asked her about what that was, she told me to look it up online.

Distraught, I asked how it could be when both my partner and I were monogomous and were virgins before we started dating. She suggested that maybe my partner lied to me about that. The next week would be the most stressful week of my life (until I saw another gyno who told me that there was nothing wrong with me and until my PAP came back normal). This visit put also put a strain on my relationship with my partner, who had to convince me that he never cheated on me.

I've never in my life experienced the humiliation and judgement that I had experienced in this office. Needless to say, I never went back, and I warn all the other women to stay away. Believe all the negative reviews, because they are completely true.

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!!...

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been going to Dr.Brill for about a year now, only reason I haven't changed dr. is because I do not go very often and figured I could deal with her. I was wrong!!!!! Dr.Brill has a very cold approach towards her patients, no matter how many times you go see her, you will never feel comfortable around her. The woman never has a smile on her face, seems like she hates her job. Answering stupid cell phone calls while visiting me! I just receieved a VERY concerning letter from the office which is dated August 23rd & I recieved it on Septmber 11th!!!!! The letter says how they've tried to contanct me but were unsuccesful. This is NOT true. I knew something was wrong with me so I was very aware to keep my phone by at all times, no voicemail, no missed calls from her, even though the letter is dated 8/23 & was received yesterday! I WILL NO LONGER GO TO HER!!!!!!!!!! Don't waste your time & money. Believe the bad reviews!!

Awful experience

BEWARE. The negative reviews are no lies. I made an account just to leave a review on Dr. Kamila Agayeva. I had an awful experience. She has no people skills--I've never felt SO uncomfortable. I felt dehumanized by her awful vibe and physical check up. She is judgemental and condenscending. I could go on for days..

Dr. Brill is a horrible doctor...

Dr. Brill is a horrible doctor! Her # one concern is the type of insurance you have maybe that's why patients actually wrote good reviews because their insurance pays well. I am 5 weeks pregnant and she afford me to abort my baby because I got pregnant 6 months after giving birth can you believe it. She is rude and very impersonal not what an OB doctor should be like at all. She thinks too much of herself and certainly little of others. I would never go back to her again!

Both Dr. Brill & Dr. Agayeva a...

Both Dr. Brill & Dr. Agayeva are TERRIBLE. I am pregnant and have seen both of them and i'm never going back. Maybe it's a language barrier or a cultural thing, but they are not caring or kind AT ALL. Dr. Brill answered her cell phone while she was doing an internal sonogram on me! Are you kidding me?! Dr. Agayeva could not be less-friendly. I was expecting them to be nice to me... isnt everyone nice to pregnant people? This is my first pregnancy and i'm scared/nervous and have a lot of questions. Dr Agayeva told me at 16 weeks- WOW you look like 18 already. She said she heard the heartbeat, but i didnt hear anything. I kept asking her if we could do an ultrasound and she said insuance does not cover it. She also told me that i gained too much weight, meanwhile they NEVER weighed me on my first visit and the 2 times they weighed me, they had me in all of my clothes and with rainboots on. She said she would just subtract for my boots- huh? So when they told me i gained too much weight (8 lbs in 16 wks) i said maybe if your numbers were accurate i would be concerned. Also, for an OBGYN, wouldnt you think it was odd if there was nothing in the waiting area about pregnancy? All of their literature is about cosmetic procedures. Just not the experience i was hoping for... moving on. My suggestion to anyone looking for an OBGYN on the UES- run from this place!

Dr. Brill delivered my beautif...

Dr. Brill delivered my beautiful baby boy and she is an outstanding physician. I have recommended her many times and will continue to do so. The office is clean and modern, the staff is accomodating and personable. Many times Dr. Brill and her staff have gone out of the way to call prescriptions to one or more pharmacies, expedite results, make last minute appointments, and give me what I needed. Dr. Brill style is professional and straight to the point, I trust her with all my OB/GYN needs.

Never had an honor to meet Dr....

Never had an honor to meet Dr. Brill, but, certainly, will not recommend Dr. Agayeva. After being her patient for some time, finally, call it quit. I am not going into details of what happened because value my time, but have responsibility to lets others know about my experience with Dr. Agayeva which has made me to say the following. My advise for women who still seeing her: in the situation, when she and the staff have made mistakes while delivering medical care, she turns her attitude toward a patient to very unethical and disgraced. The bottom line: when doctor doesn’t have desire to hear the patient who was treated wrongly, but cares only about the paperwork procedure in order to cover hers and untrained staff’ mistakes, then there is no reason to see such doctor any more because there is no trust and hope your health needs will be met. Not to mention, you will be treated very uncivilly for the mistakes she and her staff did on your behalf. So, please make your decision, if you want to continue visiting the office, where doctor has no understanding of how to restify the situation related with your health civilly and professionally.

Other half of the review...

Ive been a patient of dr brill's for a couple of years.  I never liked her that much, but I kept going because I didn't have time to find another dr. There was always a long wait before I was seen by the doctor.  After my most recent appointment, I decided I am never going back. I waited for over an hour before I got to see the doctor for my yearly check up. Dr brill was on vacation, so I was seen by her partner, dr agayeva. I told the dr I was having issues with my pill and my cycle and I wanted to talk to her about it. After examining me for EIGHT MINUTES, she wrote me a prescription which was the opposite of what we talked about. I tried to catch her before the next appointment to talk to her about it, but by the time i changed, she was with another patient.  Her nurse told me i wasnt allowed to interrupt, but finally let me see her for a couple more minutes.   I was very upset about my menstrual issues I tries to discuss with her before and the fact that she basically ignored everything I told her. She dismissed me and told me not to overreact. She never tried to understand what was happening with my pill that was causing me so many problems. After about 5 more minutes of her time, she told me she had to go to her next appointment. She left me in her office crying, and her nurse gave me a piece of candy to try and make me feel better.

I would definitely not recomme...

I would definitely not recommend this place. Made an appointment with Kamila Agayeva and got stuck with Brill. I am pregnant, so I am looking for a doctor who is not only good but also friendly, calming and kind. I usually steer clear of Russian doctors but I decided to go to this one anyway. And boy was I not disappointed in my disliking russian docs. This was the most condescending and rude person I have ever seen. I was asking her questions when she rudely interrupted me and said "how about I ask YOU questions" Uuuh...ok...I wish I told her off right there and then, but I had to know what's going on with my body. I am not a very picky client, but this "doctor" pushed my buttons. "Dr" Brill, if you are reading this review, please consider changing your profession. Pregnant women do not want condescending and rude doctors; we want patience, kindness, understanding and calm. I do not know why you chose this career, but clearly it is not the right one for you.

Don't use her. She is the nastiest doctor ever. She is very stuck up. I will never use her again. She doesn't give you time to talk about your problems. Looks like her staff or herself wrote all the good reviews here because I don't believe them. A good doctor needs to be good with every patient.
