I knew what I needed-- WIN 10 Toshiba Satellite laptop was loading WIN 7 to get IE 11 so I could get all future updates. New and had just made USB media recovery flash drive, PLUS I had ISO image file back up on different USB flash--to be safe. Couldn't remember their name. Called some Ahole who fought &said IE was on WIN 10 b/c he was ex teacher at MIT (Sorry but they have professors and he wasn't going to remote access my UNBOOTABLE lappy except by ac adapter bard boot) for $250 AND then a week in shop? Ran bootrec.exe /fixMBR. Done, only prob was /scanos detected only c: as \\?\FATFILES , not bootable. Drive E&D not found. Ed is coming out. They had my old ph #. Very cool &listen to you. Don't try to impress you--just do what you need. There's no data 2B saved, just bug in WIN 7 d/l with 2boot drive new laptops--start up repair is disabled &is safe mode. The best and another guy said he really was scared of registry keys--cool AT LEAST HE WAS HONEST. MIT teacher,my a$$. BBB A+ 4me
