Worst movers ever. Demanded payment in cash of more than owed to unload. Overcharged by one hour. Only sent 2 men, but only one did loading & unloading - I had to help him with most things which required 2 people. There was water in truck, which got chair & 4 boxes wet. They refused to cover my things when it was raining. Damaged many things. Spent endless time arguing with each other (for which I was charged). At end, went off with refrigerator sitting on sidewalk.

Do not ever use this company.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER. Did the same to me as the other reviews. I paid upfront for 'MOVING' and storage only for them to show up at my new house demanding an additional 1800.00 for unloading or they were taking my belongings back to New Orleans. For a move from metro New Orleans to Livingston Parish and storage for 8 days was well over $5,000.00. Do yourself a favor and just get a POD b/c these guys give movers a bad name. Of course there are disguntled customers on these reviews - they hold peoples homes for ransome.

DO NOT USE - WILL HOLD YOUR FURNITURE FOR RANSOME. They underquoted our move and did changed the final price after all of our stuff was on the truck and had been hauled away. I paid them and signed the invoice stating this was the final payment. Boy was I wrong. They showed up at my new house and demanded additional 1800.00 in cash or cashiers payment or they would take my furniture back to New Orleans and would sell it. I've already contacted the BBB and an attorney. Do not use these people. Should have just gotten PODS and done it ourselves.

I'm sure its difficult to please every customer, but the guys at Mr Move really did a great job. The office staff was helpful, especially Amanda, who was very knowledgeable. The movers, Billy and Mike really worked their butts off to get the job done. Everything went well and it was very affordable.

I hired Mr Move last weekend to load my 24' truck for me to drive to Miami, FL. I called Mr Move at 504-891-6683 and spoke to the saleswoman named Amanda. Amanda was very helpful. She guided me through everything and explained the prices clearly. I paid $98 per hour and a $98 truck charge. These charges seemed fair enough, so I scheduled the crew to handle the job. When the arrived, the walked through my house and actually told me that they though they could fit my items into a 15' truck instead of a 24' truck. They explained to me that if I went back to U-Haul and swapped for a smaller truck, I would save money on the rental, in addition to huge difference in fuel costs. Billy was the driver's name. He said he had been in the business for over 20 years and assured me he would handle everything. The guys agreed to wait for me to return with the new U-Haul. It took me about 2 hours to swap the trucks, but the men waited there without hassle. Upon my arrival, the began loading the truck, meticulously packing my boxes and furniture. Billy was incredible at how he fit so much stuff in such a small space. After only 2 hours, my entire shipment was loaded into the truck and I was ready to go. I tipped the drivers and paid Mr Move the charges. I talked to the owner on the phone, whose name I cannot remember, and thanked him for the excellent service. I even offered to pay for the 2 hours that the men had to wait. He told me that it was no problem, and refused to collect any additional charges. I'm writing this review because I feel it is important to award companies for quality workmanship and excellent customer service that is so rare these days.

The guys are Mr Move were very helpful. I hired them to pack and move my three bedroom house from Baton Rouge to Metairie. From start to finish, everything went well. The office manager, Amanda, was courteous throughout the process. She emailed and corresponded with me several times before the moving date, assuring me of the quality to expect. Needless to say, she understated the abilities of the crew. The two ladies who she sent to pack my items were very thorough and considerate of my fragile items. They packed boxes and boxes of dishes and even my antique doll collection. After unpacking all of my boxes, there were no damaged items. These two ladies deserve high praise for their hard work. The doll collection is very expensive and the pieces are very fragile. They even labeled all of my boxes for me so unpacking would be easier! On moving day, the three men arrived in large truck. The driver, Billy, skillfully stacked my items in the van, while his two helpers, Tim and Scott brought the furniture to him in the truck. The guys wrapped my white leather sofa and all of my pictures, to prevent damage during transit. The men were also very courteous. They answered all of my questions and were very accomodating in my stressful situation. My wife recently passed, so moving was a very tear-jerking experience, but the guys made everything easy. I even bought the guys powerades and pizza for lunch. Its truly refreshing to deal with a locally-owned company like Mr Move. I'd moved previously with American Vanlines, and they treated me like just a number. When I called the 1-800 number to talk to someone, I had to sit through a fifteen minute jingle and deal with an automated system before I could get someone on the phone. However, with Mr Move, Amanda was always a phone call away to answer any questions I had. After I unpacked all of my boxes, they even picked the empty cartons up from my house, so I didn't have to bother with recycling them. I will definitely recommend Mr Move to any friends or family who need moving help. I cannot say enough about how well I was treated. Mr Move made my month!

I've moved several times, used several companies, and have had various levels of quality. The guys from Mr Move were professional and polite and left me very satisfied. I will definitely recommend these guys. The office staff was courteous and considerate of my needs. The movers were uniformed and punctual. I couldn't have asked for better service!

My move went extremely well. I have to admit, I was skeptical when shopping for my mover. It seems like every company has both good and bad reviews. But in the end, I went with these guys because of the professional office staff. I spoke with Amanda, who guided me through the booking process. She explained everything clearly, and was very helpful by returning my calls and emailing me withconfirmation. On moving day, the two men arrived and began working almost immediately. Before I knew it, they had my furniture and boxes loaded onto the truck and were ready to head to my new house. Once there, they unloaded the truck and put my beds together. They even hooked up my washing machine and dryer for me, even though I forgot to mention this at the time of booking. The men worked hard and efficiently and I was happy to pay the charges. I even tipped the crew for their hard work. One thing's for sure, the next time I move, I'll be calling Amanda and the Mr Move team to handle the job.
