I have been going to Afritude for years. My braids were always very neat and just what I asked for. Chantel is very professional and always considers her clients needs. If you want a dependable braider that's consistent with her work, look no further. She's the best in the city.

I received a weave at this salon. The pattern in which the lady braided my hair was horrible. She braided it in a circular pattern with very thick braids. After she placed the weave in my hair, it was very noticeable where the weave started on my head. Specifically, the first braid was very think and higher than the rest of my head, which made the entire weave look unrealistic. In a nutshell, the lady rushed through braiding and didn't take the time to ensure that the braids were small so that the weave looked nice when finished.

Moreover, after she finished braiding my hair, I asked her to reconsider doing my weave. She got a attitude and said she would not do so. I don't plan to return and advise anyone looking for a weave to go elsewhere.

horrible horrible horrible...i put one star and thats being kind because this shop dont deserve any . please stay away, and do not let anyone in the shop do your weave because, they do not know what the hell they are doing.Then, on top of that they wanna charge high prices when they are not professional at all. i usually get my hair done at roots on broad but they had moved,so i tried this shop out looking at the reviews..why these ppl on here are lying, they must be family, because these people cannot do hair. i went and got a weave they wanted 180 dollars, talking about because of two damn rolls of braiding on top of the weave. i paid it, because i needed my hair done. the same day the weave started coming a loose, and so i called the owner to explain that my weave was coming out. they had the nerve to get an attitude and say i must have started taking my hair out. for 180 why in the hell would i sabotage my own hair. now in the shop was a sign stating they would fix their mistakes within 7 days. so, when i went back, these people had then took the sign down. i got my hair re done and its coming out again not even a month later. im going to report to better business bureau, because this place should not be doing hair for these prices

I have been going to this salon for about ten years. When i first started going the owner seemed to be a bit bossy, but once you get to know her she is a very nice person. I have never left the shop with a hair style that I didn't want. When I call her and tell her that I ' am coming she always teel me when to come in instead of just making me sit there. The braiding is always beauitful and neat. I tell all my friends and people that see my hair and ask me where do I get my hair done to go to Afritude. The only place that I will ever go to get my hair braided at.
