Founded in 1911, Connecticut College specializes in interdisciplinary studies, international programs, funded internships, faculty-student research and service learning programs. The college has an enrollment of more than 1,900 students from 42 states in the United States, and over 40 countries worldwide. Its more than 750-acre campus overlooking the Long Island Sound and Thames River in Connecticut is managed as an arboretum. Connecticut College offers more than 1,000 courses in over 25 academic departments and interdisciplinary programs, including majors in biology, English, government, international relations and psychology. Located in New London, Conn., the college is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Watson Foundation List and the NESCAC Conference.
