Dr. Walter is absolutely amazing! He cared for my German Shepherd for 9 1/2 years. He took the time every visit to make sure my dog was fully healthy. He cared for him like it was his own pet to the very minute of his last breath. After my pet passed away he took the time to even write me a full letter saying how happy they were to have met my pet. He will be the only vet I bring my animals too. I can't recommend this place enough!

I have been coming to see Dr. Walter for a few years and recently met Dr. Elizabeth. They are so caring that it comes across every visit. They take great care of my pit bull and multiple family members dogs as well. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Dr Walter for 12 years, and he has been the best vet I could ever dream of. He is extremely knowledgable, caring, and knows everything about my dog. I owe my dog's health to him, and have come to consider him a good friend. The appointments do tend to run long, but this a good thing. Dr Walter is so thorough that he wants to make sure all bases are covered, while having general concern for your well being also.Thank you Dr Walter for the tremendous service you have provided my dog and my family.

Both Dr. Elizabeth and Dr. Walter are amazing vets; they love our pets like they love their own. They are personable and really care. The wait is often long, but well worth it. I have been to other vets where I am made to feel like my dogs are just a number. These two vets, Ann (the amazing vet tech) and the staff are amazing. The prices are reaonable. These are most caring vets I have ever encountered. They call after appointments to make sure that our pets are doing great.

I was referred here by a coworker and this has to be the best vet I've ever been to. The last vet I had our cat with left a plastic thermometer cover in him after a surgery. Walter was great with our cat, and our cat was very comfortable with him as well. Usually he will hiss when picked up by strangers, but with Walter he was fine. They took the time to go over all my concerns and explain everything to me. The wait time wasn't bad at all. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment time and saw the doctor immediately. I think it just depends on who is there before you and what issues their pet is having. The office staff are wonderful also. I will be taking our cat back to this vet again.

Whilst the doctors & staff at Hickory Creek are friendly, professional and knowledgeable, their service is slow. When I called to make an appointment, I had to leave a message, and it took several hours to hear back. This has happened on several occasions. They do take their time with each patient, yet the other hand is that your appointment is always late. I've sat in the waiting room for an hour waiting for the Dr. to see my pet. They are often behind schedule.



Great Drs, but leave lots of time for your appointment.

You won't find a better vet than these two! We tried three other vets when we moved our here..........the fourth was a charm. Hickory Creek is friendly, clean and most of all CARING. They definitley aren't in it for how many office visits they can squeeze in a day. They take time to talk to you, to get to know your pet - and sincerely care about what they're doing. You won't find a better place to take your pet. You'll never feel rushed and you will always feel welcome!

I have no preference as to which of the doctors I get. They are both great and my dachshund loves them both. They are very caring and knowledgable and handle animals gently. The staff is also great and it is easy to get an appointment. Although I don't think price is important when caring for my pet I do believe their charges are more than fair. I don't know what else to say except I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!

You cannot find a more caring or personable veterinarian! Dr. Walter spends time with you and truly cares about your pet. I have moved from the area, but continue to drive over an hour to see him because I know my dogs could not receive better(or even the same)care anywhere else. There are so many good things to mention, but the best was when Dr. Walter introduced me to an injection for my arthritic dogs that have helped them dramatically. I only wish I would have found him years ago! He's very personable and has a fun sense of humor. Dr. Elizabeth and the entire staff are all very nice!

Friendly, up to date techniques that are safer for my dog.

My last vet used an injection to sedate my dog for neutering and killed him. Hickory uses breathable gas for sedation, that can be removed quickly.
