For 80 years, people in the greater New Haven area have discovered Columbus Auto Body by accident, but what they have really discovered is a family-owned automotive mainstay that is committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and top-notch quality automotive repair and care. Columbus Auto Body was founded in 1928 by Vincenzo DiLauro, an Italian immigrant who settled in the Columbus Avenue neighborhood of New Haven. Vincenzo combined his fine mechanic skills and the opportunities he saw with the booming automobile industry and started his very own auto-repair shop.
