I can't say enough good things about Carpets to You and staff! I had wall to wall carpeting installed in my family room and they all went out of their way to accommodate me. Initially, I was given one on one assistance with choosing the right product for my needs. When it came time to install they were prompt and professional and I would highly recommend Carpets to You to everyone!

Overall disappointing, largely due to the finish and Mike’s lack of professionalism.

We hired Carpets to You (New Fairfield) to replace existing linoleum floor in 2 small rooms. Basic of jobs. We also asked Mike to add a shoe mould to the small bathroom floor to tidy up Cracks in the grout.

Issues we had in no particular order: kitchen floor laid at an angle and had an ugly blemish. Luckily the floor manufacturer themselves offered a replacement piece of lino, only then did Mike agreed to fix both issues. Unfortunately the new floor was laid on top of the new and original lino. The pantry door nomlonger closes, the kitchen door now sticks and needs a firm shove to open/close.

Mike advised that he was frustrated and went on to be rude and insulting.

We also paid an extra $270 to have a different size shoe mould in the bathroom vs the kitchen - yet an identical shoe mould went in. The shoe mould finish was extremely poor, visible gaps where the pieces should have joined flush, 1 corner was rounded off such that I can place my hand between the mould and wall when there should be no gap at all.

The shoe moulds were also very grubby, the dirt and grime from the fitting would. It wash
away, it appears the glue was slapped on and it’s not possible to clean without potentially damaging the mould or making it look worse.

Mike’s tone was often condescending, it was clear any complaint was a source of frustration. On the last call he was particularly rude and insulting that we felt the best thing to do was hang up. The issues with the shoe mould and doors remain.

We decided in the end we would rather work
With another contractor to tidy things up than to deal with Mike again.

What is sad is that we initially priced up a cheaper contract with Home Depot and later decided to head to Carpets to You and support our local businesses.

We would not work with Mike again nor would we recommend Carpets to You to a friend or neighbour.

My wife and I have used Mike on four different occasions and we are beyond thrilled.

The process from start to finish was flawless and the two gentleman that installed our carpet were fantastic.

I highly recommend them and have done so as often as i can. It's refreshing to witness such a service driven company.
