Not what I had expected

I have lived in this complex for about a year now. It is true that these apartment tend to be mostly occupied by older residents. It is also true that some of the older individuals like to try and pry into your business. While some of them are very friendly, other are simple nasty. If you are not married and just want to live together, you will be told what they think of you. I have also witnessed how the management here permits the older residents to keep multiple animals, especially cats, while disallowing it for others. Also, when I first moved in, the management was quick to address my issues with the apartment, but now seems to do nothing. As for snow removal, it was basically non existant. Many of the residents shovel their own snow or even have snow blowers. There were times when I could barely make it in the driveway. I used to like to walk up and down the streets but now stick to myself even more and have to go to a gym for exercise because some of the residents here really do not like people to simple walk up and down the streets in front of their condo. This might now be the worse place to live, but it also is not he most comfortable. It is hard to call this place a home.

wonderful place to live.

I have lived in these apartments for a little over two years and have the pleasure of saying that I absolutely love it. Every problem of question I have had, no matter how big or small has been dealt with at a personal, friendly and timely manner. The company takes a great deal of time and effort to take care of the snow shoveling, window cleaning, grass cutting, and many other things that i have not had to worry about since I moved in. We just had our driveways re-sealed this past year and they look wonderful. It is a safe, quiet community in which I have made many friends and am extremely pleased. The condos are modern and spacious, with two full bathrooms, a cathedral ceiling in the living room and a large bay window to let the light fill the house.

Truly, it is a wonderful, well managed place to live

Maple Heights

I am here to tell you that I have lived in this condo going on 6 years. I am NOT old. We sign a lease. Clearly the lease states that we are allowed only one dog or cat, and that the management must be made aware of such. This is absolutely without a doubt the best place to live. I have had no problems from any neighbors. The lawn is always maintained. There is a respect and politeness that we all adhere to. We do not walk on other's lawns. Yes this is a condo community and we only "own" the inside but everyone respects the neighbors yard space. Dogs are to be walked on a lease. I have a dog. I walk her in my own yard space to potty...and immediately clean the mess with a small baggie. I then walk the dog around the neighborhood at times and carry a baggie in my back pocket... just incase. I work a full time job. Yes you will find that this may tend to be an "elderly" community only because we have a two person rule. Most younger couples (in 20-30 rage) are starting married and not just living together and are excited to get homes. I know of 2 young doctors that have lived here. One still does. There is a retired doctor that lives here. Management is excellent. I have had to call the office to report a leakage of a commode and they came immediately. I have reported the furnace not functioning and they sent someone 3 times until it was fixed properly. I own my own home and I must say that I enjoyed giving up my home and renting it out and living here... for the fact that I have no yard work and I am not worried about repairs. I have never seen anything other than caring and concern from the community. Younger people tend to lack respect of the general public. If you are interested in renting a place the management shows you the apartment/condo and you get to decide if you want it. No pressure is put upon you to rent or buy. The choice is entirely up to you. Anyone is welcomed at anytime to drive through and look and see just how nice it is.

Poorest managed in New Castle

If this apartment/condominium community is not the most poorly managed in New Castle, it must be on the top ten. Any potential renter needs to be aware that this community is mostly a retirement community. Any person who has ever visited or worked at an elderly or handicap home knows that the older most of them get, the more ornery they get and the more they complain just to complain even if they have to make something up. Also, if you do own pets, you will be told that this is a pet friendly community. That is a complete lie! Many of the older people do not like pets to even walk on the road that passes by their apartment. The property manager at this community refuses to resolve any conflicts when it comes to the elderly residents cursing at you when you are standing at your mailbox or threatening the life of your animals. The only complaint of mine that she responds to is when I have to call because the grass has grown higher than my dog is tall. Do NOT move into this community if you are under the age of 50 or have pets, especially dogs. The property manager allows residents to obtain multiple cats, but as for dogs, if you are younger, you are only permitted one small dog. Older residents may have, and do have, multiple small and large dogs. They are just told to walk one at a time. Maybe with new management, one that will address the residents issues and does not lie in order to fill the apartments, this could be a pleasant community to live in. However, currently, this is a community full of mostly older residents who do not work and therefore have nothing better to do than find/make up something to complain about. This is a drama fill community that the property manager has no interest in minimizing.
