When my dog was 11 and started showing signs of being sick, I took him to this place. After running $700 worth of tests, I had a whoie list of illnesses he didn't have, and the only diagnosis was "I can feel a growth in his stomach". Exploratory surgery was opted on but as soon as I said I need a payment plan, surgery was no longer an option. After my dog passed away, I complained and was told "this is a business". That's why I'll never go to this vet again. By the way, over the years I've probably spent more than $3,000 on my other dogs. Money this "business" lost out on for being a "business"..

Two weeks ago, we took our yorkie to a different place for bathing, haircut, etc. He wasn't bathed & hair was awful. Today, we took him here, and very very pleased with the whole haircut, and everything. We learned our lesson and won't ever go to Staisha's splish splash. I would bring my dog here again to be groomed. It's hard to find one who does a good job!!

I brought my cat in to be put to sleep and they started with the money right away. After the vet was rude to me they attempted to cath him multiple times and failed at it as the cat screamed. He hid under a chair next to me after they gave him a sedative then took him to a private area where they gased him. He was given to me a few minutes later after I paid the bill in a cardboard box. My cat spent his last half an hour miserable and terrified because of this place. Jim Baker

It is all about the money with this vet!!! Our dog had a long diagnosed conditioned and has been on the same medication for years. His treatment was with the same vet for 10 years until we moved to this area. All records were provided to New Castle Animal Hospital and they would not provide his medication without running hundreds of dollars worth of tests...when asked what the treatment would be for different diagnosis...it was the SAME medicine our dog had always been on!!! Ridiculous!!! They did not care about our pet...they cared about their profit margins!!! Stay away!!!

This is a boarding review only

I will never board my animal here again unless it is one of the last resorts (I would go here before Stacia's Dog Bath). From the time you drop your animals off to the time you pick them up, they are never let outside of their cage. The kennels have two sides and are about 6' to 8' long and 4' wide, but they do not open up to the outside. They only way your animal will be taken outside is if the staff notices he/she isnt deficating. Also, we always leave about twice as much food as necessary for the animals stay. When I picked my animal up the lady said "you didn't bring food did you?". I said yes, so she went back to check. When she returned, she said "I guess she ate it all because there wasn't any left." My concern is whether or not they fed my animal her own food, and if so, she ate twice as much there than she does at home. This is strange because she usually doesn't eat very much at all when boarded, so there should have been some left for sure. Especially since she wasn't let out for four days and three nights. I also HATE that they do not have a Sunday pickup. So it is already more expensive, but we also get roped into an extra night.

I recommend either Country Acres or Barton's Pet Resort. Both cheaper, have a Sunday pick up, and exercise your animals. A LOT friendlier staff too. They say hello when you walk in instead of just ignore you until you say hello.

I gave 2 stars because I am more comfortable there than Stacia's and since it is a Vet, you have the peace of mind that they have the ability to save your pet's life.
