I did not have a good experience. I brought in an older 4-speed to be checked out and parts replaced if needed. I was charged $875 to replace a $20 part. The unit was not in a vehicle. At the end of the day, you're in business to either provide a service and be fairly compensated or just rip people off.

I had Garland rebuild the transmission on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 a while back when the truck had about 323K miles on it. I have put on approximately 85-90K since then and it was not going into 5th/overdrive so I took it back in. It was beyond their stated warranty period and mileage. They told me that it needed to be rebuilt again. This was very disappointing and frankly unacceptable. Draw your own conclusions but to get less than 1/3 what I originally got out the transmission with a total rebuild is unacceptable in my book.

Honest and very helpful. My daughter's car broke down on a Friday afternoon. And of the mechanics Went to work on Saturday which was he's day off. I highly recommend the shop. They shop is clean and the owner of course very nice.

My daughter had a transmission problem with her Mazda, it would not go into reverse. We took it to Garland Transmission, they rebuilt the transmission however that did not work. After trying to fix it again they personally took it to a Mazda dealer which then try to blame the problem on Garland. Kinda of strange that we took it to Garland because the car would not go into reverse, for some reason Mazda blamed them for doing something wrong. They did everything right! Not only did they lend my daughter a car to drive but they went above and beyond to get that car back and running. That they did! The car runs great and I would recommend this business to anyone who has a transmission problem. The service was great and they even called to check on the car after we got it back. It is great to know we have a business like this we can go to and trust. Thank you all at Garland for helping us and treating us like we were part of the family.
