Not so impressed. I love supporting local business and gave them a try vs chain store classes. They are unresponsive to calls. Never answer the phone. Training consisted of walking in a circle for 20 minutes. When my puppy wouldn't respond they suggested a training collar with spikes which i am not a fan of. You would think when a customer paid for a service and they stop coming the business would wonder why?

Dog Zone and Donna Zaj have exceeded my expectations of training by far!!!! Donna has taught me how to help my rescue bully breed dog enjoy life again. Hooch came to me with severe aggression issues, both towards people and other dogs. He now absolutely loves people now and is learning to like other dogs. I don't know where he and I would be had it not be for Donna and Dog Zone! I can't thank Donna enough for what she has taught us! Dog Zone does not discriminate against any breeds, which is awesome when there are so many stereotypes against the bully breeds. If you want a to learn how to communicate with your dog via positive re-reinforcement, this is defiantly the place to go. I also recommend Dog Zone to anyone I talk to that is looking for a training facility

BEST TRAINING FACILITY IN MICHIGAN!!

If you want the best trainers, try DogZone! Owner/trainer Donna J. Zaj and Kristin Hadacz have trained my Lab pup from 4 mos right into adulthood with great positive results. As with any young puppy, there were problems like nipping, pulling, and the usual puppy stuff, but Donna showed me how to change her behaviors with her positive training tips. My pup went through Basic puppy training through Advanced training and is now a well-behaved full grown Lab. With Donna and Kristin Hadacz's help, she is now training for her first Field Trials this spring.

If you want THE BEST TRAINERS and the BEST TRAINING FACILITY in MI, try DogZone. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!

Excellent trainer!!!

If you are in the market for a knowledgeable, caring and professional trainer then look no further. Donna Zaj gives her utmost to each owner and their dog. If you are serious about wanting to train your dog, she will bend over backwards to help you accomplish that goal. I thought for sure that the hard headed Rottie puppy I took to her would never "get it". But, with Donna's constant reassurance and dedication to delivering on her promises my girl came through with flying colors. I will be taking her back for Advanced Obedience class soon and I'm secure in knowing that the end result will be nothing less than another resounding success!

Don't take your dog here! The trainer has limited experience, is not friendly, and is defensive. Facility is nice but the trainer has no actual competitive experience. Rates are high compared to similar places. Before choosing a dog training facility, do some checking around.

All of our trainers are certified and have won awards in their specific fields, rally, disc dog, fly ball and conformation. Unfortunately, we cannot please everyone, but we do our best.

Don't ever go there. I wish I could give no stars. I signed up for a six week class and me and my dog were dismissed without a refund of 170 dollars. I lost out on 2 classes. I really don't understand why we were dismissed. I worked with the dog when I could and we were doing really good. He's a good dog compared to some of the dogs in the class and I can't understand why we were dismissed.

The instructor was not very helpful and I feel like I got better help online. I know this sounds like an unhappy customer and there is always two sides to every story but if you're a trainer and charging 170 bucks for six weeks I feel like you have a responsibility to do your job to the highest degree.

Disgruntled customer that cannot afford to blow 170 dollars and then not get full value in return. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.

I understand you are upset, but this was an ethic issue. You presented yourself as a client when you are actually a trainer with your own facility. Had you been honest and represented yourself as a trainer in need of help we would have been happy to help you out. This was explained to you in our phone conversation. We treat each client with the utmost respect, but we require the same in return.

Great place for your dog

I don't have a dog however, I have been to Dog Zone and see the dogs running and playing. I have watched Donna interact with all sorts of dogs. She is really nice and understanding that each dog is an individual and may need different appoarches to learn a new trick.

I have the opportunity to run on her rubbered floor and it is really amazing. No only does it help the dogs with their joints, it helps humans too. I wasn't hurting the next day.

This place doesn't care if you have a disability and your dog also helps you. I have seen an individual in a wheelchair and I know that there are a few places that wouldn't let her in because her dog is a helper dog.

I feel that this place is a great place for any dog.

Great Place to Train and bond with your best friend!!

I have trained under Donna at the Dog Zone for just over 4 years. She has never ever used harsh training methods. She is very in tune with Dogs and what each individual dog and their owner need to do in accomplishing any training need. She is not of the one size fits all approach!!

I just have to say that it is sad and misfortunate that people have to be resentful and bitter. In my opinion had this person truly ever trained with Donna, they would not have spewed these inappropriate statements. I have to say I feel sorry for the dog of that person!!

I have to say that I am very PROUD of all my accomplishments with my girls all made possible through the thoughtful and insightful training from Donna. I can not thank her enough!! All dogs and their parents are supported to be their own best, regardless of breed or situation.

You really owe it to yourself and your furry friend to check it out for yourself. You will see the real deal and have a much happier relationship with your dog.

A Dog Training Club Where All Dogs are Welcomed and Learn a Variety of Skills

I have been with Donna Zaj (owner and trainer) for a year and a half. I never knew of anyone that could offer so much for dogs to be apart of and have so much fun. I went looking for a trainer to work with my dog Jake and I definitely found one when I met Donna. She has a firm but relaxed approach with the dogs and she is of great help to the handlers as well. My dog has some issues as well and Donna has been most helpful in working with Jake. Take the time to take a course with her, you won't regret it.

Dog Zone is definitely a place for you and your dog. It's a huge place with a cushioned floor (which is so much better for your dog's joints and muscles) and brand new equipment. It's definitely a place looking into!

Don't let the fact that Dog Zone is a new buisness deter you...

because trainer Donna Zaj knows her stuff.

Donna loves dogs and dogs love her! Dog Zone is the realization of Donna's dream to have a training place all her own. The facility has an incredible training space - unlike any other place in town.

No other trainer in the area would take my dog Claire as a client because she was used as a bait dog in dog fighting, but Donna Zaj did. Claire and I have been taking classes with Donna for 5 years now. She had faith and patience in Claire from the start and has given me the confidence and the tools necessary to help Claire be the well trained dog that she is. Claire benefits from regular classes that Donna offers where we strengthen our dog/person relationship and where Claire has controlled interactions with other dogs to work on her socialization.

I wouldn't take my dog to anyone else.

"Absolutely "Pawsome"

The Dog Zone is absolutely "PAWSOME!" My favorite place to have fun, socialize with humans and canines, learn new things, and team with my human partner. "PAWS UP to our great trainer Donna Zaj for a great program and a positive and perfect environment.

Being a BostonTerrier, I love to be active and on the run. And the Dog Zone provides everything that meets my needs. Plus love all the positive reinforcement and "treats".
