I'm from San Francisco, and so I'm used to feeling super rushed and not important pretty much any place I've ever gone for waxing in the city. Maybe because the rents really high in the city and they need to hustle you in and out. I have no idea. I dont like my waxes to take forever but, I dont like feeling like there litterally shoving me out the door, the second there done waxing. Don't I get to at least get dressed? I was leaving anyway. So, I've been getting waxed for 2 years now. I've been looking for this lady Im telling ya. Kelly, the waxer at Hot wax studio was so inviting and she made me feel so comfortable the minute I walked in her uber cool place. I booked a brazilian since I have not been truly happy wtih a few other wax studios in this area and I even went to the European Wax Center in Roseville, and a place in Sacramento looking for a great wax thinking they do it all day in the city. Nope. Either the waxer was disgruntled or they were not fit for waxing down there. They had no business in my business. I found out one place I went to in Roseville charged hardly anything for an all hard wax brazilian, and then I found out why it was so cheap during my wax. NIce...The wax kept breaking and my hairs were I'm sure, broken off since the wax was so cheap and wouldn't lift my hairs very well. I could tell the waxer was just as worried as I was that the wax was stuck. Total rookie or not comfortable doing brazilains. I couldn't believe I didn't just leave. It was extra painful and I have a high pain tolerance. Not to mention it took forever.



I kept looking on yelp and I found this place had just opened up in Nevada City. I read the reviews on yelp and I wanted to book her if she'd take me.

I was really impressed by this place and her skill level as another yelper had put it. I can't believe I found this little place is here. So exciting who would have thought Kelly would beat the other big city waxers I've been to. She had a city like feel meaning she knew what she was doing, with a humble and kind nature to her not forced like I've experienced many times. I felt like I got the whole package at her place. I highly suggest getting waxed with Kelly.
