Some of my earliest memories are being in the kitchen with my mother. I was the youngest of 4 - all girls - and when my older sister's went off to school it would leave just Mom and me to spend the day together. She would let me help her in the kitchen with simple tasks like peeling carrots or washing potatoes. But the most fun was when she would get out her big yellow mixing bowl and we would make something sweet. Momma had a sweet tooth and I absolutely inherited it! We would sometimes slice up apples and bathe them in cinnamon and sugar and a little squeeze of lemon juice. Momma would work the pastry, ever so gently, and let me use the rolling pin to make it just the right size for the pan. A homemade apple pie is a thing of beauty and the smell that would waft into the hot, humid New Orleans kitchen was intoxicating. When the school bus would bring my sisters home they would giggle with the excitement of apple pie for dessert. My dad would eat his with a big hunk of cheddar cheese on top! From very early on, I began to realize that the simple act of baking was a way to express love and to bring joy to others. I am pleased and excited to bring that joy to Wild Flours Confections. I am particularly proud of Wild Flours cupcakes. Each one is handcrafted with the finest ingredients - sweet cream butter, the freshest eggs, WFC's signature vanilla cognac and the finest chocolate available. We are a catering-only bakery and we bake every day "to-order" so that only the moistest cupcakes are delivered to our customers (and because we love to!). We can deliver a dozen or more cupcakes anywhere along the Front Range with 24 hours notice. We appreciate a little more time for larger orders but we may be able to accommodate you if you call. If you have a particular favorite that you don't see on our menu - please ask for it - I LOVE to try new recipes! As a creative person with an artistic side, I particularly enjoy designing cupcakes for special events like weddings or baby showers. Almost anything is possible in sugar art and at Wild Flours Confections we endeavor to push the creative envelope to make our cupcake designs unique and artistic - ranging from sophisticated and elegant to fun and whimsical - we can design what you are looking for to impress your guests. I believe it is a privilege to be asked to participate in the most important events in other people's lives and I do my best to provide an unforgettable experience through delicious cupcakes, beautiful sugar art, and outstanding customer service. We are a catering-only confections company - it's our specialty, it's our passion, and it allows us to give every event our full attention!
