The Wax Shop was founded by Tanya Lisitsa, a Russian-trained aesthetics professional in European methodology in her native Kiev, Ukraine. Tanya came to Los Angeles in 1989 to pursue the American dream by offering these well respected European beauty techniques in the United States. Her nine years of gaining invaluable customer service experience in salons, followed by four years in the hospitality industry, convinced Tanya that her European approach to hair removal was superior to ordinary methods. She obtained her California aesthetics license in just two months and spent several years applying these highly effective techniques in Los Angeles beauty salons where she gained a loyal following. Thus, The Wax Shop was founded in 2004 in Beverly Hills. Before long, clients came from the entertainment industry and from all over Southern California, and the word spread to their friends and families from as far away as France. The Wax Shop grew into a full service aesthetics beauty boutique, providing clients with discreet, exceptional service, becoming known for its friendly disposition, clean, comfortable environment and professional atmosphere…all at a remarkably affordable price. Today Tanya brings an exotic European flair to her salon and trains and manages the estheticians to maintain the highest standards of performance. The Wax Shop’s culture is serenely inviting, emphatically client-centered and totally discreet, helping both women and men to gain the benefits of smoother, cleaner appearing skin.
