Have done business with them for years!

As antique and collectables dealers we have know them and did business with them many times, for around 25 years. We have had them repair lamps for us, we have bought parts to fix lamps ourselves, we have even sold old antique glass shades and old lamp parts to them, we always walked away happy and satisfied. I'm so glad that they are still in business!

Great Find

I went in looking for the repair for a 80 year old lamp where the connection to the sockets was loose. They completed the repair quickly and were affordable. They even were able to find a vintage piece to do the repair so that it remains consistent. I also bought a glass shade for a lamp and am very happy to have found one that works better than the original.I love this shop!

Keep politics to yourself...

I've come to this shop several times but will not go back again. I purchased a lampshade (spent about $50) and was making small talk with one of the two owners. The other lady working there, out of sight, piped in with an offensive political comment. Very unprofessional and inappropriate. I will buy lampshades elsewhere and have my husband assist with rewiring projects from now on.

Lamp Mender Does Not Stand Behind Their Work

We brought a lamp in to have the switch replaced at the base. After 6-8 weeks of normal use, the switch is now loose inside the lamp. When we went to have it fixed we were told that we must have "abused" the switch and they would not do the work under warranty. We are a couple with no children in the home and my wife and I are the only ones that operate the lamp. Evidently, turning it on and off is considered "abuse" by these two owners.

Amazing experience

I brought my lamp to have some simple repairs and pay some big bucks. To my shock, after 10 mn. of work, I was told to just put $2 in the tip jar! The 2 women who helped me were amazing.

Antique Pole lamps

My son had purchased two antique pole lamps at garage sales. They both needed lamp shades and I had visited the store once before and had good luck. I was instructed on what shades would fit the appropriate lamp and was just starting to look when Jane told me the plug was very unsafe. It had been wired with very fine wire and we hadn't noticed. I found great lampshades for the pole lamps and received a mini lesson in wiring the plug. Although I needed another minor consult with Jane, I was able to rewire the plug and everything looks great. My son will be pretty happy with his lamps thanks to Jane. Jan R.

Always been highly satisfied

This is the kind of store that most specialty stores used to be like: everything you're looking for (or they can get it), and a staff that really knows their business/product. There's a place for Home Depot and Menard's - but if you specifically need ANYTHING lamp related (especially older or antique), this is the place to go. I've never had a bad experience here, and they've always been able to help me with what I need.

Crystal chandelier

I dropped my chandelier off to be rewired and the customer services was great and I picked this store because of the reviews. I got it back (so excited and still customer service was great) home ready to hang it but cleaned it first. Noticed the one of the bobeche were broken and glued back together. I called and asked about this and they said they didn't do it. It was not broken when I brought it but I have no pictures to prove it. Wouldn't even offer to help me find this matching part. Lady in the background on the phone was so rude. I was so happy to find this place but I would never bring a thing back after this. When you drop something off....they left it on the floor at the front desk where people walk up. I even asked when I left if it was ok there and I was told yes.

The kind of service you are looking for!

We took an old crystal chandelier in to see if it was worth fixing. The ladies were amazing! They gave us an estimate for rewiring/reworking, spent many extra hours trying to get the old wiring out, taught us how to clean and care for it and were prompt and courteous. They told us how old it was, where the crystals were made (Sweden!) and delivered it ahead of schedule and spot on the estimate. The chandelier has been restored to it's former glory thanks to The Lamp Mender. We will recommend them to everyone!!! We also brought in a neighbor's lamp and it was fixed in one day.

I was amazed when they called me later that same day to say they were finished! Lamp menders has excellent customer service and does great work. I would recommend Lamp Menders to all of my friends.

Great Service

I had a touch lamp and used the wrong bulb causing the touch sensor to malfunction. I brought it to the lampmender and they put a new cord witha switch on it in just a couple days and the lamp is good as new (actually better)! I would definitely recommend this shop for lamp repair!

Toggle switch fixed fast with friendly service

I took a lamp into this shop to fix a 2-way cord toggle switch on my mother's lamp. The woman at this store, I assume that she was the proprietor or one of them, assessed the situation quickly and replaced the switch with a new one for about $12. Great and friendly service. It's a nice store with lamps and shades for sale. It's good to know that it's not all about Big Box Stores.
