Outstanding Company

My experience with San Diego Rain Gutters was exceptional. They were courteous, polite and hard workers. When I called for a quote on my gutters, I called several companies and had them come out and give me a bid. None of the other companies compared to the attention to detail and asked me what I wanted vs what the contractor wanted to put in. They had many choices and we sat down and discussed what would be best for my house. It was a wonderful experience and I encourage anyone looking for new rain gutters to contact this company.

Excellent Job-- Great Company

We had received three bids for our Rain Gutters. We hired San Diego Rain Gutters to do our house in copper. We loved that Old World Style look of the half round. Estimator was very professional and even made some wonderful suggestions to which made the job look even better in a hard area we were worried about. Scheduling was done quickly, crew arrived on time and cleaned up after they were done! Overall job is Excellent we love our new copper rain gutters it really stands out nicely!! Thank you San Diego Rain Gutters for a job well done we are glad we did not choose any other company. Sincerely Mike

My experience was excellent

My experience with San Diego Rain Gutters was excellent. Actually I'd say it was best experience out of all the contractors that worked on my house. I remodeled my home and the rain gutters were the last thing to go on. I met with Phil Taylor. He was on time, pleasant, and very helpful. I decided to go with San Diego because of their reputation (several of my friends had them install their gutters). The crew was on time, the head guy went around with me to make sure there weren't any changes. I had a couple of questions but he answered them for me, and I actually had him change something. There wasn't any problem. He called the office and they sent out someone to bring a different fitting. The job was done in one day, they cleaned up everything and went around again to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Not one of my other contractors gave me this much attention. I think they were very professional from start to finish. I'd recommend them to anyone.

A "C" Experience

At first blush, San Diego Raingutters seems to be a professional shop. Their estimator was on-time, walked through the property and provided an estimate within 20 minutes. The real fun, for me, began after the bid.

On the day of the job, the installers differed with the estimator as to the correct type of rain gutter that should be installed on my home --leaving me with a he said/he said scenario. I was faced with a question--"Do I go with what the estimator says, or what the professional installers say?" Since I'm not a rain gutter expert, I found the conflicting opinions quite disconcerting. These guys need to get on the same page.

I ultimately chose the recommendation of the installers and had to wait a week for the proper rain gutters to arrive. On installation day, the workmanship of the installers seemed OK, but they left lots of metal shavings on the property and did not sweep their mess. It would have been ideal for them to leave the property the same way they found it.

Overall, the experience started strong but really tailed off in the end. That's why I'll rate these folks with a "C" -- an average experience.

When our estimator met with this customer, he pointed out that her tile projection was "borderline". He suggested we be conservative and put in the small gutter. When the installer checked the job, he noticed the tiles were uneven, and some areas exceeded the minimum projection. He suggested that the larger gutter should be used. Since it would take a return trip and the ordering of different size materials, we waived the $400 price difference and apologized to her. The scrap metal was found to be from a roof repair company.
