"Same Day quoted $270.00 to replace the oven sensor in a Frigidaire range. I went on the net, found that the repair involved the removal of 8 screws and required only a screw driver, and was estimated to take 10-15 minutes. I asked Same Day for a break down between parts and labor and was told they did not provide that info. I purchased the part locally for $45 and made the repair myself with just a phillips screwdriver in 10 minutes, saving $225. Same Day still charged me $80 for the priviledge of having them give me their ridiculously high quote. It appears to me their approach is to get you "locked in" to their $80 service call and then they will give you a veery high repair quote hoping you will accept it rather thanlose the $80. My advice is stay away, try other reputable local repair companies.
