We had a really unfortunate situation with this firm and would recommend that customers choose another option at every opportunity. We signed a proposal for paragon to do some work. The engineer that arrived gave us several pieces of severely incorrect and alarming information causing a significant stir for us as it had major implications. We asked the engineer to get back to us the next day given how significant this was. The following day we had to follow up to try and get more information. We were eventually told “Whoops” I was completely off on what I told you yesterday. We ended up having to bring in a more experienced engineer at significant cost and on an emergency basis who explained that Paragon’s engineer was completely misguided in his assessment and what he was mistaken about. Given this situation we were not comfortable proceeding with this company. We reached out to the owners (Shahid). They overtly admitted to the issue but refused to make it right and cancel the work. We had to follow up several times. Unfortunately this firm just doesn’t have an appreciation for the customer or the integrity to make things right after a major mess up.

I hired Paragon for doing structural inspection for a property in Brick, NJ, that my client was selling. They were very responsive and were at the site within a day. They did a thorough job and came up with a detailed professionally written report. I am very satisfied and highly recommend them for real estate related inspections.

We have checked our records. We have never done business with this person. This person is falsely saying he paid money for an inspection on his balcony. We were NEVER contracted for anything with him. We are responsible engineers…the company has been here since 1990! We are well known for being responsive and above board. We have hundreds of satisfied clients who we have provided inspections, reports and designs. You decide.

These people are Scammers,Horrible , they are like wolves in sheeps clothing, i hired them for a blueprint of my balcony, i paid them $500 to come see it and after they left , i called Nasir to see how my blue print was doing, i never got it and after the 1st call, they never picked up, i called again on another phone, 2 mins later they picked up, these people are scammers, don't hire

I was buying a large warehouse in Hoboken. There were cracks in the concrete walls and other structural issues. Paragon's structural engineers were called to check the site. They inspected the walls and footings thoroughly; the report was given to me. It was very clear and detailed, giving causes for the cracks and settlement and recommendations in report. There were recommendations for repairs and pricing, as expected.



I was very satisfied with the professionalism in their work and if needed, I would recommend them again.

I used them to inspect some settlement in my basement. They were fine by me. They came early, did the work quickly and the report saved me from some work.

This company is HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM! We hired them to do a structural inspection on a house we were interested in purchasing. The inspector showed up at the house over an hour late! Then we never received the report even though I called and requested it several times. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Do not hire them, they are horrible!

My house extension went very smoothly, with plans, report and support. Everything was as described and they were very helpful. Will recommend them for everything.

I have never written a review before, but felt the need to warn everyone about this company. It is more like a scam business that has stolen $400 from me. I needed to know if a deck over my garage was strong enough to host a large party with a tent on. Nasir promised to have my structural report by the end of last week since the party was soon. I paid $400 up front and he told me the total cost would be $600 and that they only accept checks. I was fine with the cost at first, but then the report never came. All of my emails were subsequently ignored. I contacted Paragon to see if there was a manager or owner who I could speak to about my issues. Nasir said there was no one else and that he was in charge. Today I hear back from Nasir (5 days late) and he says he will only "release" the report after receiving the balance of $200. He never mentioned that the total would need to be paid before receiving the report and since they only accept checks, it would be another few days before receiving my report. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and rude. Nasir has been the worst and has made it impossible for me to find an answer to my question. I would avoid hiring this company at all costs.

I used Paragon Engineering on the CO of my house. There was some SANDY damage I wanted them to assess. Their inspector came the next day, and two days after, they gave me my report. I found them very nice, quick and pleasant to work with. They were fine

to deal with and I certainly would use them again if I ever needed engineers.
